I think we need a proper stats based worst 10. Obviously, the lowest win percentage followed by pts percentage.

Wilkins was great with Gerry's team in 94/95 but needed an older hand to support him once Les left. He was responsible for our relegation in 1996 and, therefore, the decline over the next decade so as much as I hate to say this he would be my 'worst' manager ever but only because of the long term damage his reign caused.
Honestly makes me sad to say that but for me it's an uncomfortable truth.

Mullery was awful. Jimmy was the worse ever. Up there with Burtonshaw. The strange thing about Mullery is that he COULD have been very successful at QPR. He was a respected manager and had the right credentials to work well with us but it just didn't gel.

Needed Jim Smith to exorcise Terry from the club.

Tommy docherty That’s some shit list Disagree with The Doc.... Watched some great football in his first full season especially in the autumn.... Nearly 50 goals from Goddard and Allen.... Bowles and Currie were a joy to watch till Stan left for Forest.... Finished fifth or sixth Lost both goal twins in the summer as St.Jim recouped his large layout from the previous summer.... The Doc was always going to struggle El Tel came in (a favourite son) and it took him two and half seasons to get us back up....we did have a nice cup final in-between though

Les Allen was pretty awful although he didn’t have much of a chance to be fair. See, we’ve always had ex players dropped in it😂

Jim Smith? I can’t rate a manager that can’t get a team up for it at a Wembley final.

Highest win % of any QPR manager.
Was going to say, Dowie was actually quite good, thought he should have been given a better chance at the time.

Oh I'm pretty sure there is. We just don't focus much on other teams, but there are far more shit to average managers out there than good ones.

Although I remember being at Swansea one night when he came over with the team to acknowledge the fans and was greeted with a really angry response. Actually quite unusual for our away following.

It seemed like people were predisposed not to like Dowie. I think it was because of all that crap about him being ugly or something. Actually a very intelligent man.

It's been the same with many managers down the years. People can be scathingly judgemental about physical features - Warnock's teeth, Dowie's looks, Beale's mole, Ainsworth's hair, McClaren's island, Redknapp's wax face, Hughes' wiry bouffant etc
