Surely David Seaman should be topping this list. He played in goal when I first started going to games and I honestly don't think we've had a better keeper since.

Surely David Seaman should be topping this list. He played in goal when I first started going to games and I honestly don't think we've had a better keeper since. i agree in some ways but for me he was a better keeper when at Arsenal. yes he made his England debut whilst with us however for me i just preferred others ahead of him had he stayed a season or 2 longer i agree he would probably have been top and everyone is weary of a goalkeeper with a mustache? he for me was a slightly longer haired version of Gary Penrice but with gloves on |

Agreed, he looked like a pornstar Ellersie, still the best keeper we've had in my time in my opinion.

In all seriousness tho, Seaman was the best keeper we'd had since Parkes, with Kenny prob in third spot. IMO. Personally I thought both Paddy Kenny & Smithies both excellent too Smithies had a hard time when he first came to the club, then when he hit form we had clowns thinking he was worth around £8M.... Agree though better than Dieng as well... |

Jan Stejskal, Paddy Kenny, Rob Green? All better keepers in my book... rob green was dire 🤢 Rob had a broken thumb in that final at Wembley and played at a far higher level for us than Dieng... Wasn't a patch on Paddy who really got a bum deal from Hughes and co... Worst I remember was Derek Richardson the poor soul took over from Phil Parkes luckily Peter Hucker was coming through at the time.... |

Awful keeper imo Thought Green was treated appallingly by the club - Hughes in particular. Buying in Cesar after one game was ridiculous and frankly embarrassing. Thought the flak he got was unwarranted - Green was usually decent and arguably won us the play-off final with Dunn and Zamora. |
