i watched the warmup where all the players were taking shots and must say i was impressed with joe walsh.
he made some outstanding saves.
would not be adverse to seeing him start next season or at least be on the bench instead of archer.
we have a good young keeper in him.

Surprised he didn't have his own thread yet.
His parents must be big Eagles fans calling him Joe!

Shame he has not seen much action in cup games but looks the part from bits I have seen during warm ups.

Christ I hope he is as good as you say, Stan. We really, really need a proper keeper.

I’m always surprised at the views archer gets as he’s played 4games for us.
Walsh has good rep but the one time I’ve seen him Wimbledon pre season he looked well Ropey. Keepers peak later he seems to have done well out on loan.

Armstrong's development would have been helped no end if he had gone out and started 30/40 games in League 1 this year without the pressure to be the finished article he has faced at Loftus Rd this year.

Think we may have found our new goalkeeper for next season!
Looked very impressive today. Calm, assured, good positioning and pulled off some excellent saves.

Two-three risky passes but otherwise very good game.

Two-three risky passes but otherwise very good game. You can see tho that Marti wants our keeper to play a sweeper role but Asmir not up to it. One very sloppy kick by Walsh which almost cost us but generally thought we looked comfortable passing it around at the back. Contrast that to start of the season where everyone treated the ball like a grenade minus its pin

Some decent t saves but don’t look comfortable with his feet the three times I’ve seen him.
Got clattered but got up so that will do his confidence world of good he’s earned his stripes and shown his bravery early on.

From the Rob Green school of kicking and looks a bit lightweight. Maybe a run of games will toughen him up or I can see opposition coaches crowding him.

I thought he was excellent yesterday, made some cracking saves and commanded his box really well.
I personally think he should be second choice, focus imo should still be on a new no 1.

good to tie him down, surely to a long term deal i imagine. at the very least he's good enough to be our long-term backup keeper.
hopefully we can tie EDB down to a longer deal but i can see him leaving to go play first team football in league 1 tbh.

Played really well last night by all accounts? He was superb, Matty. Made three exceptional saves during the game, his distribution was good, comfortable with the ball at his feet, and of course, he saved a penalty as well. Got to be seriously challenging Nardi for the No. 1 shirt.

Interesting comment…….the analysts got it right with where Luton pens would go. We’re professional again😁
