These days think I love and hate our club in just about equal measure. Given up making predictions so simply putting next weekend's fixtures here without expectation:
QPR v Rotherham Southampton v Millwall Sunderland v Swansea Watford v Huddersfield
If Millwall lose to Southampton and if we avoid defeat to Rotherham we are out of the bottom three.

Our form is pretty good. Sometimes the other manager does better and the first goal is vital (eg Stoke). Yes maybe pressure gets to them but doesn’t that mean that they care? And they want to win?

They certainly cared today

Think Hayden has some fight about him and altho he is more of a technical player if you listen to Andersen’s post match i/v it seems he does too. Field also deserves credit today - broke up a lot of attacks.

11pts from a possible 18. thats playoff form and by god do we need it.
stoke was frustrating but after todays win its not so catastrophic. we desparately need to pick up the win against rotherham though. buzzing after todays result!

We’re in good form……but so are Wednesday and Huddersfield unfortunately. I think/hope that Millwall, Stoke and Swansea are the ones that could drop into the relegation zone.

And they want to win? yes, they undoubtedly care, but they can't always cope with the pressure when it's really on. they have shown us that over time i agree there a lot of new players now, particularly the four new arrivals. my hope is that this will be enough to make the difference. today was very encouraging in that regard, but let's see if they can produce it consistently enough.......

In very, very partial defence of Ainsworth maybe he could do a "backs to the wall" win like away to Burnley. Maybe if the players are not motivated there is some curious logic for it till the end of the season. But would be a disastrous long-term appointment.

We all know QPR do the exact opposite of expected (good and bad) but of our remaining fixtures I would identify
3 wins:
home to Boro, Brum and Wed
4 draws:
WBA home, Sunderland away, Swans away, Preston home.
48 points - safe. Probably.

I’m sticking to my earlier prediction of 50 to be safe by a point, maybe two. 1/ I really think third from bottom will go to the wire and 2/ hope Westy is right that I’m always wrong😂

If it’s needs 50points then I fear we’re down mate

Think we (and Weds and Hudd) need two to start struggling. They are picking up points like us.

Everyone to Blackburn involved. Swansea stoke and Millwall recent form over few weeks is poor

What we need is simple pick up more points from now than Stoke and Sheff Weds and we will be fine. Now in our hands not relying on results elsewhere. Take care of ourselves and do not worry about the rest.

Weds are as likely to get out of it as we are. Some parallels up there at the moment. They like what the manager is achieving with the squad and there is a bit of feelgood going on about turning a corner. The fat lady hasn’t even set off yet.

Hopefully he can’t keep that up for more than 2 or 3 games and we see them tailing off again. But realistically, we could very well be back in the bottom three in March. Need our strikers to come on song now…

Take care of ourselves and do not worry about the rest. You can say that if you are top of the league and in with a chance of winning every game. Down the bottom you are always reliant on other results as realistically we are going to drop a number of points. Even if we play at our best it won’t be enough against some or the teams we face. How a few other clubs perform at least as important as how we perform IMHO

Forget about numbers just get more than those 2 clubs and we stay up. Easier said than done but it is the reality. Fancy Stoke to go as they were woeful when they beat us and performances like that against teams that turn up against them will not get them wins. Sheff Weds at home is the one now that is must not lose and a win is what we want

You have to remember teams fighting for playoff places will chase games just like those fighting relegation so i expect a few upsets.

I agree with that completely and do not think we are safe as long way to go in this season. At least we now have it in our own hands and that shows how good a job Marti has done up to now
