Bumming Brum Match Thread
Lot of frustration that we look a different team under Marti yet we are still mired in the relegation blood-bath.
But we have been improving our position. We were 5 points from safety, now (thanks to GD) effectively 2 points clear. The unheralded draw at Sunderland was a good result in the context of the season and a match we would have lost under Ainsworth. Yesterday we went oop north in a massive stadium and they didn’t even have a shot on target. Even playing poorly, any neutral would think we were the mid-table side not them.
These games coming up are where we will earn our reward and pull away. Put it down to luck or our superiority but all our relegation rivals are starting to fall apart while we remain competitive and competent.
Brum were apparently better on Sat after a terrible mid-week display but are on a losing run and lack leadership without Moany Moubray. We also have matches coming up like Plymouth away (four home defeats in a row without scoring a single goal and fans turning on them) and Sheffield Wed who have to pick themselves up from a 6-0 tonking.
Things are finally going our way with a largely solid defence and very decent midfield. I see this as a nervy, tight and ugly 1-0 to the Rs and a huge step towards safety.
The term “six pointer” is over-used but this is our first genuine one of the season - with Frey back and Muscles coming on if needed I just can’t look beyond us here.

Could very well still go down even though playing better. It’s what the club does

the weekends set of results were good overall despite that being a missed opportunity to win and get some air between us and those in the relegation zone. I honestly believe if we can beat Wednesday and Brum at home then we will be safe. Vital games. I think the odd other point here and there will see us safe. I have slightly lowered my points required total in my mind now to 49 on goal difference.

Still disappointed after Saturday as Sunderland were shit and had lost 6 in a row. How we didn’t finish them I’ll never know. Having that prick leading the line for 60+ mins was a big mistake.
Anyway… sick of talking about that tosser.
I think we’ll respond and despatch Brum with ease.
Start Frey. Bully the fuck out of them and get those 3 points.

Nearly two weeks away - an RFI record for starting a match thread 😅 Put it down to enthusiasm and optimism Stanley! BTW, I know in loan deals its normally stipulated that a player can't face his parent club. Do you think we have stipulated that Dozzell MUST play?

Also do we know if Mowbray will still be recuperating? It would be peak QPR for him to come back for this match and inspire a much better performance.

Decent run of results against teams we were by no means fancied to beat or draw with (Boro aside). What follows now is a run of 4 games we don't just HAVE to win, we SHOULD win.
We all know what's likely to happen don't we?

We all know what's likely to happen don't we? Ginger history tells us that but needs to change. How is anybodys guess. Is it to confident? Is it lack of motivation? Is it lack of crowd support with exception of Dykes. Is it not playing two up top, showing intent and being brave? Is it going on the pitch with dont lose mindset ? I would dearly love to know.

Nearer this game gets, the more nervous I am mainly due to the fact Rowett will have had a nice amount of time to get into them, he's a Birmingham supporter so will be fully going for a winning start & they were in freefall before he came. Gonna be a tough match.

On the online map, it looks like there's around 150 seats left. School end lower not got one seat left.
Another sell out.

Trying to buy more tickets - ticket page when you click on a particular area of the ground, not loading properly. The inability of this club to make it easy for customers to pay it money is just astounding. And this after the website was supposedly re-vamped. Complete shit-show.

In fairness, the qpr.co.uk website was revamped. When you go to buy tickets though, you are sent to a third party website, www.eticketing.co.uk/ - the club won’t have any say in how that web site is run

I looked a few weeks back and it wasn't possible to book there and I know Brum aren't having it. Wasn't sure if it was going to schools/local community instead?
