Couldn’t be there today as on shift but followed the game on TalkSPORT and just seen the highlights on Twitter of the final whistle. Have to say it’s really put a lump in my throat. The players embracing, the noise, the togetherness. What Marti has done with this club is fucking remarkable. From where we were to where we are is absolutely staggering. When sinton had to take a minute to respond because he was audibly emotional it done me. We’ve been through the wringer these last 2 years but there is hope for the future and I firmly believe we have people in the club who really care. For those there today you did the club proud, enjoy the weekend and crack a few cold ones tonight. On to Swansea. URsssssssssss

Think we are very fortunate to win that but I will bloody well take it.
We wasted so many opportunities but we got away with it.
Willock and Hayden the only two that stood out for me from players midfield going forwards.
Frey was poor, Armstrong made no difference when he came ion, chair was poor and Anderson looked totally lost. Asmir is total liability I shit myself everytime if we had a better option I would drop him.

I thought we were decent today. The only problem was we haven't any decent strikers, so don't pose a goal threat. And didn't take our chances first half. Plus our balls into the box were poor. As were corners. Were the only team in it until Hayden went off. Colback left them space in midfield and was awol (at RB) for their goal. The back four were, however, immense. They had three sniffs at goal.
Cheers Steve and Jimmy. Still buzzing.

Andersen wasn't great, but he kept going, showing for the ball, and kept at it. Strikers all poor. Bar Jimmy.

I was at the match and while I agree on most of the comments. Frey I thought had a decent first half and caused them problems. Ran for 45 minutes and played back a good few balls. Thank god for Dunne.

Team stayed out on pitch for ages too. Crowd not so swift to disappear today.

Amazed you were impressed by Willock: shirked every challenge, couldn’t be arsed to run for a ball and never showed for it - thought he was back to his worst, disgraceful performance I thought and would have subbed him way earlier. Needs dropping if he can’t turn up for a game like that. But ultimately who cares tonight. An ugly win and it was the “ugly” players who showed up. Thank f@ck for yeh defenders.

Any update on the poor bloke who had a seizure in the Upper Loft?
Carried out. His young son in tears as must have been v scary for him to witness and taken care of by a nice American family making their first trip to Loftus Rd.
Happened straight after our first goal - perhaps so surprised we finally managed to score he had a seizure.
Anyway my thoughts with him and his family and hoping he is is OK tonight.

Need another performance at Swansea
Another win would be massive
As Sheff Wednesday will be very tough
They are playing pretty well

As if we win that game we are nearly there
Huge game Swansea

Defo would have kept him on ahead of chair and Anderson who were far worse today.

Smyth better than Willock. Unfortunately we can't start with him as he would be shit then. Smyth is nowhere near as good as Willock.

Just watched the highlights again
Had 3 - 4 clear chances that we should have scored
Cooks goal was a slight deflection
3 points is 3 points get in
Well done Marti you can do this

Not seen It mentioned but what a bizarre ref today proper poor and made up rules as he went along. My brother and I saying the same all match - it was scrappy game against two teams struggling for fluency but made a million times worse by a ref who stopped the game for five mins whenever there was a set piece and fell for every feigned “head injury”. Couldn’t believe it when Brum had a free kick and one of their players decided to sit down because he was tired and the ref held up play so he could go and have a chat. WTF! Another time we had a free kick and he just randomly decided to drop the ball thirty yards back in our own half. But worst of all he just killed it as a spectacle. Do these refs understand this is actually meant to be the entertainment business?

what a day and what a game! we certainly made it hard for ourselves as we created so many should-have-scored opportunities throughout the game but on reflection i'd rather win in the manner we did than a comfortable 3-1 steamrolling. these kinds of wins with a belter from an unlikely candidate in the dying moments of the game means so much more and live longer in my memory.
i turned 31 today so today's win makes my birthday all the better.
we weren't at the races for much of the game, lost a lot of second balls, 50/50s and with more than one wayward pass. begovic remains a nervy figure at the back and i feel like today was actually one of his worst games for us, he didn't play like the experienced pro he's supposed to be and on more than one occasion he had to be bailed out due to indecisiveness.
JCS is a revelation at the back, the guy is a solid 8/10 every single game and rarely puts a foot wrong. his tackle on stansfield in the box during the second half was simply sublime and as it stands he is my POTY for how crucial he is to the team. we'd be right up shits creek without him and if there's one thing the eel deserves a pat on the back for it's bringing him into the club.
the front 4 have all had better days. chair was his usual hardworking self but he always takes one touch too many.
MOTM is between dunne who had a decent game bullet pointed by a fabulous strike and JCS.
absolutely buzzing and am now getting ready to go out and act like it's my 21st with a mixture of poles and czech people.

Smyth is nowhere near as good as Willock. Not talent wise but did more in 20 mins than Willock did in 70 today no way not having that. Apart from one burst where he shot with his left and the ball crawled to the keeper don’t recall him doing anything.
