Young manager in the frame for a decent job in the Championship... Good opportunity to pursue his ambition. I think he would do well.

I am hoping that his association with Warburton, and the chance to learn from him, will make staying at QPR and be groomed for the manager's position himself will prove enticing enough for him to stay. If not, very good luck for the future.

Hope he stays but wouldn't begrudge him moving on to a manager's job.

Not bothered in the slightest if he stays or goes, tbh.

Not bothered in the slightest if he stays or goes, tbh. Pretty much how I feel mate. Good luck to him if he's landed a Manager's job elsewhere!

I'd like him to stay.
One of the few recent club representatives who handled himself impeccably and showed encouraging signs of tactical awareness.
He's probably not done enough to get the nod down the Jacks but his time will come.

Linked today with an interview for the Derby job. Strange one that. Derby to go from the highest profile (and probably the most expensive) manager in the league to a guy currently in the number 2 job for QPR, who finished 13 places behind them in the league last year? Doesn't quite sound right to me. I'm sure they will pick a bigger name than John Eustace.

Yeah, Mail saying he's on a shortlist, along with Monk, Moore and McInnes.

John Eustaces Derby don't have same ring as Frank Lampards
Has Eustace been seen in pre season yet?

Has Eustace been seen in pre season yet? I noticed that he hasn't been seen in any of the pre-season photos/video...

Got a feeling Eustace will turn out to be a decent manager given time.

I hope we manage to retain his services. At the end of last season he had us doing as well as we could have hoped for and I believe that he was the one who marked MW's card about the players at the club when he arrived.

Agree esox think he’s very switched on and is defo asset to us
If I was him after managers job I would not take Huddersfield as for me there club in their right position but because they done few seasons prem the expectations of fans and owners don’t align with that. Wrong job wrong time

I'd fuck the Huddersfield job off in an instant.
Unrealistic expectations and a squad that is mid-table Championship at best.

Wrong job wrong time this tbh. if i were him i'd stick around at qpr as imo he's dead certain to replace warburton eventually and staying here gives him the opportunity to learn and familiarise himself with a club that is gradually becoming stable. he should only leave if a club thats in a good place becomes avaliable, huddersfield will certainly struggle for the next few seasons imo

They will have the benefit of parachute payments for the next 3 seasons. As such, the manager there should have much more leniency in the transfer market than most other managers in the league!

“From QPR’s perspective, there is no negative impact for us, every party benefits. John gains great experience on the international stage and that can only be good for us.”
