Rumour that we will use the Sinclair Armstrong money to buy Ike Ugbo from French Ligue 2 side Troyes. British-born and Canadian international. Started well at Wednesday then faded.

I would assume that it would be one of Ugbo or Celar given neither likely to be cheap? And if Dykes and Armstrong go then maybe a young Prem striker on loan at the back of the window. But that's purely my guesswork.

Ugbo allegedly wants to go to Wednesday specifically. The article/clickbait I read said Wednesday can't afford him, supposedly £2.5m, whereas we (with Armstrong money) can.

His loan deal at Weds expired at the end of the season. Troyes remain his parent club (for now) and he cant get into their first team.
His record at this level is OK ish given that he was at a club which was totally dysfunctional a large parts of last season.

yeah slight concern for me is lack of a 10, either as playmaker or ability to go past defenders. On going days, Willock was pretty decent at both. Ilias only other one who can take men out, which of course is how you create space for your hypothetical 9. Seems done deal: www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-qpr-agree-deal-to-sign-zan-celar-as-medical-lined-up/We also have Andersen Hal, think he could be a number 10. So am thinking the team currently would be something like: Celar Chair Andersen Santos Coleback Field Paal JSC Cook Dunne If Verane also signs to add competition in midfield that's looking a pretty good team to me. Think Santos is a right back mate

Just need Blackburn to buy Dykes now
I think Anderson could be a No 10 tbh

Think Santos is a right back mate Apparently he played right wing in the recent friendly - have seen him described as a wing back, winger and defender. I've not seen him play so can't be sure but just thought right wing/ right midfield is probably where we need someone. As far as I'm aware its basically him or Smyth now Willock has gone (unless one of the youngsters breaks through). But might be wrong!

Rumour: Sarpreet Singh, ex Hansa Rostock, is a player we are interested in according to "Football Insider.....". Attacking midfielder from NZ. Oxford etc also interested.

Impressive ITK Jfr … Anyone think this Bennie youngster could be more involved in first team than development? … played mens game in OZ and looked a threat in recent friendly… yes I know it wasn’t championship standard team but can only play the players in front of you!

Think Santos is a right back mate Agree Santos main position is right back but can play further was a wing back as well. Generally while it's great to speculate I. think. it a bit early to try to name starting 11's. Firstly there is a long way to go before the window closes and transfer business is done. Secondly and maybe more interesting is that we signed a bunch of young players who were reported as being for the development squad. So far I have not seen their names anywhere in development squad news and many are spending time with the first team squad. People like Morrison and Bennie have a bit more age and experience and I expect some of these "development" signings to go straight into the first team squad. Marti's history is bring on the younger players but using experience when needed and to help develop others. So is Morrison a standby in case JCS goes or someone who will be ahead of Fox for example in the pecking order. Bennie is another one depending if we sign anyone else. Great problem to have though if we have a squad that can rotate and change formation as required and cover of injuries. Things starting to look good if the players blend.

He`s "allegedly" working for a London based online publication and is covering football in the area, so who knows? Luke Relm is his name by the way.

Yeah, ain't that far fetched Ginge. Could well be Twitter shite as Shania just pointed out though! We're probably alright at Centre Half to be fair. Even if Clarke-Salter is off i'd imagine that Dunne is gonna slot in there now we are better stocked at right back. Shaping up very nicely to be fair. Bit more quality on the wings and I think we have a nice little squad.

Nardi - Gent Santos - Estrella ds Amorda Morrison - Bayern Bennie - Perth Glory Celar - Lugano I recall not so long ago when we were shit that everything that was wrong with the club was blamed on the foreign signings and we needed buy British. The tide returns quickly. I just want decent players that improve us and graft hopefully that’s what we’re now going see.

The absolutely bonkers Gaz days of emptying the tank, Hakas and cowboy boots already seem a loooooooong time ago.
So looking forward to the new season. Not expecting miracles, but definitely looking forward to getting some respect back at and for the club.

What a massive change from previous windows So many players signed from abroad. Nardi - Gent Santos - Estrella ds Amorda Morrison - Bayern Bennie - Perth Glory Celar - Lugano Yes, French playing in Belgium, Brazilian playing in Portugal, Scot playing in Germany, Slovenian playing in Switzerland and an Aussie for good measure. we have certainly cast the net. I think it means that our approach to player recruitment now is very different. Just how, who and how come, matters not if they are good signings. We have seen scouts (that I did not know we had) posting their goodbyes, and our head coach being very circumspect until confirmed signing, but clearly involved. But I think that there is a good working relationship between Nourry and Marti. Unusually, we have read that Marti is very keen on Varane, so I would be surprised if he is not the next cab on the rank. Belik was and still is Head of Recruitment. So one of the takeaways has to be that less is more. Removing layers of decision making has simplified our processes and saved money and time.

Perhaps Belik was only working to the remit of previous regime which was look in certain market/area. Hopefully he has wider catalogue of potential players not previously explored or are these players ones Marti already knew of or is it data driven. I am intrigued to know.
