Dunno really. Reported 20% and also reported that Eze has a 60m quid release clause. As such it's worth 12m quid.
If forgoing the clause meant we signed a player capable of scoring the goals that could allow us to push for promotion, I'd guess you could justify it.

Here's a question for you lot. If Palace offered us Rak-Sakyi on a free transfer but in return we agreed for the sell on clause for Eze to be null and void, would you take it? No

He did ok at Charlton. Charlton. So we could probably do better with 20% of at least 60m.

JRS is a very talented player but lots of young talents end up flopping. that £12m is far too valuable to us imo. assuming eze does get sold then just think of how we could spend it on various positions.

Like this except I can’t see us spending 12m. Most of that will go towards financing the club for a while.

Yeah, fair Al. I reckon other player sales are gonna fetch at very least 6 or 7 million quid before the window shuts though.

I haven't come across any further information about the rumored signings of the players from South Korea and Morocco, but I still hope the powers that be are working quietly behind the scenes to finalize the deals before the window shuts.

No but I’d accept a variation. Maybe we take rak saki and give them a 10% sell on clause and we drop our eze % to say 12%? That way we get what we need plus a chunk of cash(albeit smaller but still in the 7 million area).

Rak won’t be coming here on a perm they’re only interested in a loan as they rate him. Have they not already turned down £12mil bid as they want retain him. Looks like he flies when he goes something we lack so if we can get him for the season im all for it.

We should look attractive for a loan - step up from Charlton, foreign coach like them, excellent training facilities and they can pop over to check him out anytime. Would be a replacement for Willock.

See talk we are about to sign some Juventus LB & get rid of Paal.
I like Paal tbh would be a shame. Know nothing about the Juve lad, but would like to think he has a bit about him to be at a club like that.

With Paal it’s the same situation as Armstrong. If he’s not signing a new deal(if there’s even one on the table that is) then he’s got to be sold. We’ve got to stop letting players walk away for nothing

All click bait but the same stories from different sites. Probably lazy journalists just repeating what they have seen elsewhere but a couple usually have with a hint of knowledge .
Anyway for what it's worth (not much) it's rumoured Watford are cooling or pulling out of a Paal deal meaning we cannot afford to sign Frabotta from Juve who would be a better option.
Varane deal rumoured to be over the line pending paper work but until something is announced I will not believe it.
Marti starting to sound just a bit frustrated with lack of movements and a striker so here's hoping a couple of his deals get through or fear a disgruntled respected Marti could do a Mr Bean if poached, even though I think he will see things through with us.
Still a month of the window to go and the usual last day supermarket crush to come so no panic yet but it would be good to get a couple of deals done before the season kicks off instead of playing catch up later.

Well the only actual genuine news report I have found from foreign press is that Varane was left out of the squad for his team's pre-season game on Wednesday as the clubs had agreed a deal for his move.
We will see.
Same source say Frabotta's agents in London have agreed a deal and Frabotta is waiting to get on a plane - but the deal all depends on shifting Paal out first. Not so sure why that is the case with Lakarche gone we must have freed up the spot and some wage bill - can only be we are too tight on FFP for the transfer fee and not taking chances......and the world turns.

We are all speculating but most likely scenario is we thought Paal was sold and now he apparently isn't. When we are short of a defensive midfielder, a number 10 and ideally a right winger better than Smyth, another left back not the number one priority unless Paal does in fact go.

Wouldn’t imagine it’s ffp. Finances are significantly better this year. It’s probably more the case that Paal won’t sign or won’t be offered a new deal so is worth the grand sum of fuck all this time next year. The club seem to be trying to move away from being in that position. We need a first choice left back and if Paal doesn’t sign we move him on and replace him with the Italian. We’ve got Morgan fox who can cover there and will probably have a recall option on larkeche. We don’t need the Italian if we can’t get rid of Paal so it hinges on that. No point bringing him in if we don’t get a buyer, the deals set up on the assumption that we do

No point bringing him in if we don’t get a buyer, the deals set up on the assumption that we do I can agree with all the sentiments there but to look at things from a different angle, if Paal does not want to sign a new contract or stay will he be committed this season and do we want to play him. We are already in the position that we do not want to be in that we have a player who will run down his contract. So if we bring in the Italian now on a longer term contract (and play him) making it clear to Paal that he will not get a look in if he does not move it will encourage him to either find another club or just go out on loan so we cut the wage bill. On the contrary if we say we do not need the Italian because we can cover for this season in different we will be back to square one in a years time, losing Paal for nothing, and be out looking for an experienced left back probably at a higher price. Paal will be gone, Fox a year older and not sure if Lakarche will have made the step up. So it's a gamble either way but I would take the route of signing the Italian and building a team that will stay together for a couple of seasons at least. At the same time we have to start talking to Kolli about a new contract or he will be gone free as well.

Paal will not go to Watford as they have signed from elsewhere (Paal wanting too much money ??) 2 We do not sign Frabotta because we have not moved Paal 3 Frabotta signs elsewhere as he will not wait for us 4 Last day(s )of the window someone offers 1 million or even 800k for Paal - what do we do take the money knowing we have a player who will not sign a new contract, we have no replacement signed or lined up and are left with Fox as our LB. Or turn down the money and keep an unhappy player who will walk for nothing at the end of season or half price at best in January if we find a replacement. My preference is take the gamble and sign Frabotta while he is available and use the next month to offload Paal. One less issue to deal with and we can get back to finding a striker. As I posted before we are already in the situation we do not want to be in with Paals contract so we need to take action and have the whole season to make up Frabottas fee if worse comes to worse.

Marti did give a very short press conference in which he stated we need more attacking options and the club are working on it. That's about the limit of explanation we can expect to hear from the club for now. Re the players we are being linked with the one who stands out is Varane - not a striker but box to box midfielder with a good pedigree and potential to be a big sell on.

I think that they can be pretty confident that someone will leave for money before the window closes. I think that the scenario you paint is a realistic one for Paal, and we should secure his replacement now and send a message to him. Watford do not play 'fair' in the transfer market, and there is a journo who says that they are trying to hi-jack the Frabotta deal, with his agents in town at the moment. Probably doing that to put pressure on the price for Paal. I think the message about Varane and Paal that we are sending out is that we will wait and negotiate hard rather than concede. Fair enough. Long way to go on a 46-match season and 4 weeks today before the window closes. But just adds it the clickbait and the impatience.

"Take the gamble" - the phrase that should send fear through any QPR fan. How many times has this club "taken the gamble", and how often has it worked out? We came within a whisker of relegation two seasons running because of the last time we "took a gamble", which left us woefully short of funds. Fans think of the immediate window and that immediate player. The CEO needs to take a much broader view. I like that we are playing hardball these days. We lose the fat Italian? So what. There are other fat Italians out there. Maybe even a thin one. I bet until a few days ago not a single person on this board had even heard of him. Judging by the geographical range of our recruitment, we will have back up options if Paal does go late in the window. If you are buying a house you don't sign the contract on the new one until you are pretty sure you have sold your existing one. Even now we have very little money, and bigger priorities.

Totally agree with this. I think we have enough cover for Paal if he moves on late and we can still dip into the loan market if needed. (any decent LBs at Bordeaux now they are all free?!). Paying x amount on a fee for a LB, plus x amount in wages doesn't make sense. Plus, if we rbing him in then we can't get a striker/no 10 as our funds are being used on a player we don't need. We can't afford to just stockpile players, not yet.

Of course you are correct, however, we not only have 4 weeks of this window, but also the January window, to address any overindulgence. This is also slightly different because the Italian press has leaked the interest and the Paal pre-condition. Pure guesswork on my part, but I wonder if Paal wants to wind down his contract and not move anywhere this window, possibly being more interested in being a free agent to return closer to home. Such opportunities would not be there with his transfer value. But the prospect of playing him for another season, does not appeal to the club it seems (nor me!). I think that the shifting Paal is more about the current process in operation. If he jumps, that frees up the next one (not necessarily his replacement). If we buy and don't sell someone, the whole process stagnates.
