If we can get Hayden back on loan I’m doing that deal as his impact and influence was clear to all. IMO he was was the only Jan signing who had a proper ongoing impact. I would actually look to move someone out if it allowed his return and it was a choice between one and another. Otherwise it’s mid table at best I think this season I'll take it! |

I think some may be losing sight of where we are and were last season. Apart from Hayden none of the names we have signed, or are being linked to are PL players - we are not in that money bracket. But they hopefully will be good championship level players who could even help us challenge the top 6, plus there are enough younger ones with the potential to develop and sell on to the PL in a season or 2 for much bigger money.
The strategy is clear and it is now down to Marti, the coaches and players to make it work. Some signings will not work out and will have to be moved on but that's football and every club in the Pl and Championship face the same possibility. The difference is the big boys gambling 80 to 100 million on players who may not fit and we have spent a fraction of that on the whole squad.
Plus the window is open to September 1st so lets see what the squad looks like then - much can change still but we have a good base to work from now.
