“ WE “ being the key word of your reply. I’m quite certain you read our recent FFP report Ginger ? I’m sure everyone knows that we are in a great position this year regarding FFP. Nothing preventing us trying to push on starting from this window “ if “ owners are serious about the club..and no it does not mean spending huge sums on bums looking for an easy payday ,it means loans like Woods ,Parrot and small transfer sums like Moore. How much headroom do we have? Do we want to risk it? These owners have already spent a fair amount on the club. I’d be cautious rather than splashing the cash. Use Eze and BOS and Manning money would be my view Have you read the article about QPR and FFP James ?

It seems to me that we get fined and everyone else gets away with it

Article can be found on thread “ Six Points “ on this forum...Accounting for Success
There’s also additional info within that link which may help to grasp the info supplied...Tough Battle Ahead in Ongoing War with FFP
As a footnote my brain is old and I found I needed to read both articles a couple of times to fully grasp the info supplied.

Thank you for your reply QPRDK
Am I right in saying
When coupled together the losses from 2017/18 and 2018/19 would require us to have losses less than £6m for 2019/20 to comply with FFP ?
Could it be safe to assume that , the losses of 2018/19 would have been similar ( taking Covid out) to expected losses for 2019/20 ,minus Luongo ,Furlong and Freeman sales ?
How close to the wind did we sail this season with that figure in your opinion ?
As FFP is suspended for 2019/20 season , will the large losses of 2017/18 naturally fall off the 3 year rolling cycle ? or how do you see it playing out ?

Wigan fans kicking off as highly regarded youngster Joe Gelhardt is reported to be joining Leeds next week for a fee of £1m ...Wigan fans rate him at £20m but forced to sell due to a glitch found in his contract by Administrators.
Wake up Rangers and do some proper scouting !

If his figures are correct then it will be 6m plus the 4m per year disallowable cost as I read it. Which would make it 18?
Could it be safe to assume that , the losses of 2018/19 would have been similar ( taking Covid out) to expected losses for 2019/20 ,minus Luongo ,Furlong and Freeman sales ? I think so yes. Probably saved a decent amount on wages this season though.
How close to the wind did we sail this season with that figure in your opinion ? I think we've still got wiggle room.
As FFP is suspended for 2019/20 season , will the large losses of 2017/18 naturally fall off the 3 year rolling cycle ? or how do you see it playing out ? Don't know, other than they will probably stack the deck for the worst possible scenario for us.

The highlights of the game were shown on Quest and afterwards all the pundits and his manager were all drooling at how good he could become. This was about a year ago or maybe more as I think he was the youngest ever player to make his debut for Wigan. if our recruitment specialists had put a bid in earlier we may have had a shot at securing his services. In the past we were known for our ability to spot youngsters early at lower league levels.. nowadays we seem to wait until spurs release youngsters or released players come to us requesting a trial. BOS seems the only exception to this trend recently but don’t think it can put down to our current recruitment personnel.

Ravel Morrison is available on a free again. What a wasted career that one has been. I wonder if he'll end up in the Championship?

If we lose Eze I would have no problem him being added to the squad thought he was super player. We need a maverick Tarbs was problematic too

Don't think Warnock wants him mate. Ravel was on loan at Boro 2nd half of last season. If they wanted him, they'd have made a move by now.

Lot of dough and Celtic pulled out the race to get him even though he wanted to go there. You would think Watkins is on his way out?

why jordon, why................ 5m quid, plus likely around 30 grand a week? Sorry, but that's a proper lazy signing by Norwich. Much better deals out there and I'm glad we didn't get drawn into this one!
