Alliteration: the commencement of two or more stressed syllables of a word group either with the same consonant sound or sound group (consonantal alliteration), as in from stem to stern, or with a vowel sound that may differ from syllable to syllable (vocalic alliteration), as in each to all.

I knew all about him as I used to see Macca and Ian Stewart quite a bit when I was still living around Hillingdon and I knew that all three of them used to stay with the same club land lady on Whitton Avenue Greenford when they first arrived over from N'orn Ireland. He is managing a youth team back in Ireland and has piled on the timber now. |
