13/08/19, Scorers: Wells, Chair, Manning. Att: 5,795.
Who would take a loss tomorrow night in the Carabao if it meant beating them on Saturday?
I would!

Cup run was fun last time. No reason why we can't win both as City will also rotate heavily.

League over cup mate, 100%. I think Bristol will probably feel the same though, and both sides will use the squad a little bit tomorrow night.
I'm actually excited to be going and seeing some of our squad play. So many players we've signed that I know little or nothing about. I actually can't remember the last time I was going to QPR games knowing so little about what to expect from the team!

I'd like to see him give the new kid up top a bit of exercise. Need to see what the boy's got on the park.

I could see it being that as well. We will definitely rotate, I just hope we still win so that the feel good factor continues before the "i told you so" come crawling out.

QPR boss plans changes for Bristol City clashBy West London Sport 12/08/2019 Mark Warburton is expected to make changes for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup game against Bristol City. Summer signings Liam Kelly, Dom Ball, Marc Pugh and Nahki Wells are among those likely to feature, while Todd Kane might also play. Warburton is hoping that Matt Smith and Jan Mlakar, who missed Saturday’s draw against Huddersfield, will be available. “We will use the squad but we will go out with the full intention of being the best we possibly can be,” Warburton said. “We want to win the game. You can’t talk about a winning mentality and then say ‘Tonight’s alright, don’t worry about that’. I’m sure Bristol City will be the same.”www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-boss-plans-changes-for-bristol-city-clash

The Legion Of Gloom You think that'll actually happen if we lose tonight? I think most QPR fans adopt a pretty pragmatic approach when it comes to the cup these days. Aside from last season, when was the last time we had a decent run in either cup? I personally couldn't care less if we win or not tonight. I hope the manager uses the squad, gives the likes of Chair, Kane, Masterson, Mlakar, Smith, Shodipo etc. a good run out to see how they hold up against decent opposition. The squad will be very important this season. We saw last season how fast things can turn sour when your squad isn't good enough and you get a few injuries. Important that these lads get a chance to show what they can do early on in the season!

Important that these lads get a chance to show what they can do early on in the season! It shouldn't but it will do, it always done when we lose no matter if it's a friendly or a cup game. We'll lose and some people will be saying our squad isn't good enough, they have shown that they can't cut it at this level. All that nonsense. Hopefully I am wrong and it doesn't happen but more importantly, hopefully we don't lose!

A cup run would be nice, but if I have to chose, I`ll go for a (hardfought) win on Saturday. Keeping momentum in the league is what matters now.

I think we need to look at a few alternatives. Starting up top.
Warburton is absolutely right to see who's going to step up.

There are "QPR Fans" who only live for the chance to pull the club apart and provide us thickos with the wisdom of their insight. I expect they get a lob on every time we concede a goal. I dreamt up The Legion Of Gloom epithet as a lot of fan sites and forums don't like it if you call them cunts... mind you, it's not really fair to call them cunts; they lack both the warmth and the depth.

Good sensible selection IMO. 100% Rest the old ones and Hall. Give time to the new chaps but not disrupting side too much.
