Don't. Fucking. Change. Fucking. Things. When I saw the lineup, that was my thoughts exactly. What a stupid thing to do after two (almost three) clean sheets.

Anyone following rangers long enough knew what was on the cards today. It's what we do best 95% of the clubs existence. I've certainly followed them long enough and a repeat of Wednesday's show would have taken care of this lot today. Bizzare ain't it mate? Dunno why Warburton tinkered today. If he'd set up like he did the last 2 games we'd have seen that lot off comfortably. I think it's going to be a bit of a roller coaster of a season!

Not seen the goals and only just seen the result. After 2 clean sheets I assume we reverted to type and were all over the place at the back.

I think I'm more fustrated with Warburton because he appears to talk sense and then blows the gaff ie he has to be better than this. Whereas with Ollie the minute he got the job I knew it could never work.

I think it's Warburton's city trader instincts: he can't resist a gamble. Just a tweak here and a little nudge there. But the rudder of pragmatism is gradually steering him on an ever straighter course. It's an interesting process to watch.

Just watched the highlights. Defence were definitely back to normal for all 5 of those goals. Dreadful.

The problem is that we have lived with gamblers and gambling for ages now.. Hence, I was hoping that period was brought to an end now by this appointment.

Well he's an intelligent and fairly prudent gambler, and that's what I mean by him being steered by the rudder of pragmatism, I think he is a stablising appointment, he's just fine tuning how he does it.

After 2 clean sheets I assume we reverted to type and were all over the place at the back. exactly that! we tried playing it short and simple from the back which caused barnsley to just press us relentlessly. nothing changed in the second half either and even though we scored 3 we weren't even good! barnsley left themselves wide open more often than not

Yes, I think I agree with you. He is still assessing player by player in different situations and positions. And as a result, I think some of the players will not be here come January earliest and July latest. Quite logically when you think about it..

To be fair we did have wasted chances - BOS blazed over when it was an easy chance to score, Eze would have been unchallenged with a good chance close in if he had hit a cross first time, instead he took a touch and got blocked, plus Chair hit the bar with a good shot.

Just watched his post match interview. Have to say it was disappointing ☹️ Mind you that was partly the fault of Nick London for asking the wrong questions 🥱😖

not seen the goals yet, will try and take a look later.
Proper Jekyll and Hyde side this season. Really fragile and unpredictable

Just listened interview stan. As you say not most pressing questions, but as a club employee can get why that is
Bit ironic Warbs referencing Barnsley as having fragile confidence when that is also more then attributable to us
Big game next week Bowyer will have Charlton well up for it

Barnsley have alledgedly played quite good in many matches . Results have just not matched that fact at all, hence I`m not sure they will go down. Their attackers + the ex. ulham player looked particularly good. Sinton mentioned their CB`s as quite good in yesterday`s match.

It's good to see that credit is being given to Barnsley who have been playing a lot better than their position would suggest. It's also nice to see not everyone posting like the sky is going to fall in after a defeat. We are a work in progress and we are doing alright.

Well he's an i ntelligent and fairly prudent gambler, and that's what I mean by him being steered by the rudder of pragmatism, I think he is a stablising appointment, he's just fine tuning how he does it. Unfotunately his football record suggests neither. The only time you chance it as a gaffer is when you have to, ie when it isn't working on the pitch, which he has actually shown a marked reluctance to do. He is failing to fulfill the most basic requirement at this level: setting up according to squad strength.

I'd hardly call being 4 points of the play-off places "failing to fulfil the most basic requirement at this level"! Yes, I know you're talking about a specific attribute, but surely he can't be failing when he has assembled a team on such a relatively low budget? In fact I'd say, on paper, we're punching above our weight. And therefore I find your analysis very one-sided, because you're not factoring in all the good stuff he's done, but purely focusing on what he's not been doing right. What I'm saying is that he has been willing to change, albeit too slowly for many of us, and therefore he's shown a pragmatic side which is of course essential in this game.

We’ve had some bad performances and results. Yesterday was probably the worst result. But in terms of overall performance Warburton has done an excellent job.

The last thirty minutes of Forest at home wasn't too palatable TBH.

But it was still a stupid fucking thing to do to change the back four after two and a half clean sheet.
