Club interviewer: "Was that game going right until it started to go wrong...?" Warburton: "Yep. Basically..."
😐
As Eric Morecambe said, "I'm playing all the right notes – but not necessarily in the right order."

One trick pony who has done nothing to arrest the slide in the defence. Look at Rowett at Millwall got them organised and hard to beat and can now enjoy the rest of the season. Do Millwall have better players? No but they are set up better

I've said it before and I've seen nothing to change my mind - we aren't good enough to play the way he wants but we're not as bad as some of the performances suggest.

A team that does not give goals away game in game out and that is not hard for us to acheive with the experience we have. Take it by your last comment you are liking what you see all over the pitch.

You are warburton. You get told to cut the wage bill in the summer and completely reassemble a side to compete at championship level. You get to spend the grand some of 50k to appease some of the leagues most demanding fans. 50k. Just to put that into perspective Leeds are reported to be paying their latest bench warmer 35k PER WEEK. let that sink in. What would you do? Granted our defending is absolutely unacceptable at times but despite all of the FACTS stated above we’ve played some of the most enjoyable, entertaining, attacking football seen in the bush for years. It’s not perfect, it will Make you tear your hair out at times but he’s trying. We are trying. Good weeks, bad weeks it’s the nature of the beast. Hard league. Despite the mighty Leeds paying Christ knows how much per week on wages they lost again today. This league is savage and we are operating on a shoestring until we can do otherwise. What do people really expect? I love rangers with all my heart, always have and I always will. None of us are here for the glory are we? Let’s give this special little club half a chance to right the wrongs eh? Rome wasn’t built in a day

My big gripe is game in game out the same shit defensively and not one single shred of evidence to suggest this guy is doing anything to arrest it. That is not about wage bill that is about coaching and as I pointed out earlier there are other coaches doing the basics right with equally average players.

Still say he’s done a decent job with worst resources any manager since Holloway in league 1 had. And at least in league 1, we were seen as big fish so got some decent players in. In my view he was probably the type of manager we should have got when we got relegated the 2nd time. Problem is now, i do sometimes wonder whether playing the “right way” is what we need or should be doing. But changing manager is also not answer. Not wanting to depress anyone more but in my view, our lack of transfer activity (on buying side) is not down to overspend in Prem. it’s simple maths. We don’t get enough income to buy new players without selling some good ones. FFP kills us but the errors and costs of the past have long gone.

James. 65k basic a week plus 250k bonus for first 10 apperances then 250k bonus for every six months of the contract. 7.5 million up front with the other 5 spread over the length of the contract. Still not think our premier league spending has a part to play on where are now. And that was just 1 player.

He - is - trying - to - play - it - too - fancy. It will not work with the defenders he has got at his disposal this season..

That is not about wage bill that is about coaching and as I pointed out earlier there are other coaches doing the basics right with equally average players. Yeah I get that mate. Believe me. It’s so frustrating but it’s never been his forte. Aka Brentford, ask forest, ask rangers etc. One thing playing the way we do does though is give the stage to the attacking players who are the ones we can sell for big bucks. We need that money. I hate modern football and how restrictive it is for clubs like qpr but it is what it is. We get say 15m for eze and 8/9 for bos in the summer and we’re back in buisiness. The defenders warbs has to choose from are largely a bit ropey. Hall=bit part of a shit Defense for years. Masterson =promising but needs a leader next to him. Kane=fits his style but really poor defensively, worth noting he was excellent at hull so there’s a player there. Manning=square peg round hole. Wallace=weird as sometimes he looks composed and collected and other times looks like he’s never played left back in his life. Leistner = wanted first team football, very limited and that’s being kind. Bottom line is I’m sure he didn’t expect Kane to be so poor defensively. He didn’t expect Wallace to get injured etc. Players in January are at a premium and deals are more often than not a big shit. It’s frustrating but we’ve not even flirted with the bottom three all season and I expect the club think we’ve got enough. Big big summer ahead

When was the boom and bust spending? So our fine is clearly related to wage bill from premier league is what has buried us going forward. Barton on 75k a week in the championship, Zamora, Green, Traore, were all big earners in the championship as was 55k a week hoilett.

And had we have put clause in we would never has lost as much! If's and but's mean nothing. This mis management is there for all to see and our transfer policy of buying in some cases clapped out has beens are also a reason for those losses. The fine only came through in recent tines due to our appeal? Or have I got that wrong. We rolled the dice on being a premier league team and got it wrong in spectacular fashion.

The losses James were down to mis management and resulted in record losses which that resulted in us being fined. The thought that the premier league contracts are not what caused is inaccurate. Do the maths on the size of the ground and what we oaid out in wages in the 13/14 season. Highest wage bill ever in the championship.

In my opinion Fernandez and co gambled with the clubs future. A few of us called him out for being the cowboy that he is at the time. Who remembers caterham? He’s now being investigated for criminal activities. The man is an utter cunt but plenty brought into the idea of the friendly chairman who brought fans a pint in the Bok. The mismanagement at QPR over his tenure is staggering. He absolutely needs to be held accountable but conveniently he’s slipped away into the background and let Les and amit pick up the mess. People have then got the audacity to blame them!! Let’s have this absolutely right.....Tony Fernandez couldn’t run a fucking bath properly. He’s incompetent at every level and needs to be investigated as a fit and proper person. The sooner he sells up and fucks off the better. Considering our form with previous owners he’s got away with it very very lightly

Should have been banned from every sport in the world for his total fuck up in both cases.

In a better position on the field would enable sponsirship to come our way like we had under the previous owners. Funny how no one wants touch Fernandes?

We've got good enough players to compete at this level-not top quality throughout but better than the system they play. It was often said of Wells that he'd put a chance away but give him too much time to think and he'd screw it up. Same thing with the team, up the tempo and we play better.

But that is all the past. Whilst a fucking massive fuck up, it does not explain why we cannot buy anyone today! James mate it does explain it. 2/3 years ago We were still paying ridiculous wages for a club in our position. We had parachute payments then, we don’t now. Rumour has it leistners loan will save us Between 3-500k before the seasons out. It all counts. I really believe the club are gearing up for a buying some quality in the summer as the shackles come off a bit. It’s painful now but I’m Sure the club have a plan to move forward. I don’t think people appreciate how much we took the piss in the prem and the playoff season. We’re on an even footing now and hopefully brighter times are ahead. We could have been Bolton, or Coventry, or Sunderland but we’ve stayed in the league and balanced the books. That in itself is a fantastic achievement whether people like it or not
