I did mention this the other day. There were no responses, so I guess either you all thought it was a crap idea, or just didn’t notice it. 😂
In case it was the latter, here’s an example that we can have a go at and see what you think.
Everyone starts off with a virtual bank of £50.
Each player will need to select 5 bets with a maximum of £50 stakes. Minimum bet £5, Maximum bet £20. Multiples allowed.
All bets need to be placed by 19:15 hrs Wednesday evening, 30 minutes before kick off, at which point the thread will be locked until such time as all your balances have been updated and new odds have been prepared for Saturday’s game at Hull.

Sorry if i`m being a bit thick, but do the figures after each thing or whatever mean , to one ? ie win 1.85 means the odds of us winning are 1.85 to 1 ? Also what does > or < mean ?

1) Decimal odds mate. Much easier. It represents the return. So if odds are 6.00, then a £5 stake returns £30, or 5/1. Simply take 1 off the number.
21.00 = 20/1, 2.00 = Evens 1.80 = 4/5
2) < Less than, > More than. < 2.5 goals = 0, 1 or 2 goals. > 2.5 goals = 3 or more goals.
3) You’re not thick, just possibly haven’t seen odds expressed that way.
4) Start with a £50 bank. If you make £50 profit, your account goes up to £100. Lose £20, account goes down to £30. Lose £50, then you are out.
We can just have a play around this season to get used to it, for those who want to join in. Start a proper one next season, if it proves popular.

i remember on the other site i was in 1st place and another poster was 2nd , we were both out in front and wouldn't be caught , he edged in front then waited every week to i'd put in my score e.g 1W, 2W ,1D, 1L etc then he'd copy my exact score so i couldn't beat him .... all that for a board game
