Having been a West London boy most of my life I now live near Dundee.
However within 5 miles of where I live there is a Loftus Road and an Ellerslie Road 🤪

Lol. I'll remember that if ever I'm getting an Uber to go watch a game when drunk.... When I used to run a mini cab business back in the 80’s one of the drivers picked up a bloke who dozed off. Upon waking and not recognising the road, he asked the driver who told him he was on the M25. He was on the way to Ilford, which was a shame as the bloke wanted to go to Guildford. And yours truly made a rather amusing ricket once. I was taking Hayley Mills to the BBC one evening as she was a guest on the John Peel show. As I pulled up to the gate at Television Centre, Wood Lane, I loudly uttered a rude word as it dawned on me that radio shows were broadcast from Langham Place. 😄 |
