deserves it for that goal. he did nothing much for the previous 3 years at the club.
would not be adverse for swp getting inducted for that goal at chelsea.

I don't think you can compare OBZ to SWP I think he was probably on much bigger money and the only goal he scores, he doesn't even celebrate. Compare that to the utter joy on OBZs face. He also layed on Charlies winner in the Semi I think.

Love it. He was superb for us in the final few months of that playoff season. I remember for a few games he came off the bench and scored. We played Yeovil at home and I was in the stands with my dad, and I pointed out that Sir Bobby was about to come on, to which dad replied with quite colourful language. So I bet him a fiver he'd score and he did. As said, he didn't do much else for us, but for that few months and, of course, THAT goal at Wembley, he deserves to go down in Rangers folklore. Nice one Sir Bobby.

Anyone want share and relive their recollections
One thing I remember was from the Wednesday was in the pub every afternoon in the build, up mate stayed at mine for match from the Thursday so he joined in. Was just a huge piss up in the build up

24th May 2014 Still full of memories of the whole day from the build up but at sane time so much I cannot remember. If I could do it again I would make sure I soaked it all up took photos Anyone want share and relive their recollections One thing I remember was from the Wednesday was in the pub every afternoon in the build, up mate stayed at mine for match from the Thursday so he joined in. Was just a huge piss up in the build up As a season ticket holder I was entitled to two tickets in the first issue and two in the second release so rather than let the scalpers have them I took up my allocation and began scanning the QPR sites and FB groups looking for QPR fans who were looking for tickets. The second pair went to a father & daughter from Harrow and I was contacted by a guy called Jon regarding the singleton I had next to me. As soon I sent him a PM saying I would hold it for me he wanted to send me the money straight away but I asked him to wait until I received it, scanned it it to show him I had had it and transfer the money then. This all duly happened and we arranged to meet at Wembley for the handover and swapped phone numbers. I called him around 2ish and told him where I was and a few minutes later he turned up exchanged greetings and I handed him the ticket. He had an accent so I asked where he had travelled from and was stunned by his reply; Canberra, Australia! This guy had taken a chance that I wasn't a scam artist, taken a week off work and booked flights & a hotel for himself and headed for Wembley. We went and had a drink in a nearby place along with the other QPR fan I had gone to the game with and chatted about why QPR. He was sucked in by going to games during the Stan Bowles/ Gerry Francis era when he was at college in London and the love never diminished. On 89:50 mins of the game he went fucking mental , albeit he wasn't the only one, as we were right in line with Zamora's shot in the second block back; a perfect view. He was in tears at he end saying over and over that it was the best day of his life (married with kids too ) I met him again a few years later when he asked me to get him a ticket for a game at the City Ground and we met up in the Trent Bridge Inn in Nottingham. We drew so he was no bad luck charm.

They say honesty is the best policy but I’m not so sure. The look I got after telling my wife I had tears in my eyes when the final whistle went probably wasn’t a good idea as she quickly and quite bluntly reminded me that I’d completely held it together the day we were married and for the birth of our kids. My mate missed the goal as he went for a piss thinking it was going to extra time. (as most did) so wanted to dodge the queue. I actually felt like crying again for the poor bugger when we were in the pub afterwards.

Extra time would have resulted in divorce or baby or both.

Strictly speaking, shouldn't it be Bobble Zamora day?
My story of the day is that I'd forgotten when I'd booked to go away with then girlfriend that it was play-off final weekend - although to be fair it was a couple of months before. Then watching that nerve shredding home semi 2nd leg v Wigan, when we won and was wildly celebrating with mates in R Block and Dan H said 'mate, I've got you a ticket for the final!' it suddenly dawned on me....
Needless to say, changed date of trip, but only to the Sunday, another mistake, as it meant that instead of celebrating all weekend, had to go up Norf straight after the game. The compensation was that I was on a train packed with Derby fans. I was proudly wearing my scarf and the banter was hilarious - for me, anyway...
Weirdly, I did the same thing for the last game of the season when we went up v SW at Hillsborough - thought I was clever staying the weekend with mates who live in Sheffield. Saw the game obviously, which was another amazing day out, but then I missed the celebrations at the Bush Ranger afterwards. Still regret that!

They were all over us for 80 minutes
When the goal went in its was total bonkers
One of my best times in my life

Thing is Derby weren't all that either. They really should have put us to the sword second half, but they were largely ineffective and quite pathetic towards the end.
PS had completely forgotten Bamford played for them.

Mate I was with went for a Johnny Cash on 88 minutes, thinking it was going to extra time and wanting to beat the inevitable full time queue. I’m a nasty git sometimes but even I couldn’t bring myself to take the piss in the pub after the match while others we were with did.
