..that was fun!
What is it with McClaren and the inability to make blindingly obvious changes? A turgid first half that was conference level at best, a lumbering Rotherham side, Pav and Wells were the obvious choices... came on at least 10 minutes too late. And then the utter naivety of allowing them to get back in it at the end. That's not directly McClaren's fault, but this team looks all over the place.
Still, I enjoyed the banter. It was so quiet and little worth watching on the pitch first half, we had a wide-ranging conversation that was spoiled by the occasional interference from the hoofing on the pitch. This team has gone backwards. Should SMC go? Probably. But there's no one decent to replace him that we could afford. So I reckon it's hang on till the end of the season and if we're lucky, limp over the finish line.

Just home , that was dog shit , nothing to be pleased about there , maybe Eze ran about a bit for the first twenty minutes or so , smallest league crowd for ages , fuckin freezing and i didnt get to meet Brighton , what a crock of shit, must be mad .......

In all the years I have watched us, I have obviously seen some dross, but that last night was up there with the very worst I have seen. Even at HT I was saying it was the worst 45mins I have seen in a long time.
I don't know what's gone on in recent weeks, but we have seemingly fallen off a cliff. Even when we lost 6 league games on the bounce, I genuinely (and posted to this effect I think) thought we looked alright. Results weren't going our way, but we had them 3/4 games with rotten luck in 90+ minutes, and overall we were in the games & playing fairly well I thought. However, since the Leeds win, we have look absolutely atrocious in every department. The only player I can say can hold his head up is probably Freeman who must be so p1ssed off playing in this side.
I am not a negative fan, far from it, but we are arguably in the relegation dog fight now ffs.

Leeds aside twice, and first division Portsmouth at home, the only other highlight since Boxing Day was losing 3-4 at home to Birmingham. What a facking indictment.

yesterday was really poor , i'm finding it hard to get up for games . trying to persuade the kids to come is hard . the 3 ST holders behind me have msd the last 4 games and the 4 in front are hardly ever at games

One of my all time faves Yes, great track mate. I saw them countless times in the 80s mainly in London but I did go up to a Futurama Festival they played which I think was in Wales. One of the coolest things I have ever seen when they played 586 and just slowly one by one left the stage just leaving the backing track playing. No chance to applaud them, no encore, it was so New Order. |
