From reporter attached to club wonder who it'll be? gotta be a striker surely but aside from hogan and john marquis we've not really been linked with anyone and news on a striker has been pretty quiet over the few days. in other news jake bidwell is set to sign for swansea

Hogan and Judge? Ipswich are apparently holding out for more money than we are willing to pay for him. so I`m not sure about the latter one at all..

This is really good thread by the way. It’s kept on topic and some good opinions And no one has thrown a tantrum if their opinion has been disagreed with 😂 It's what it should be. A discussion with diverse views.

Hogan and Judge? Ipswich are apparently holding out for more money than we are willing to pay for him. so I`m not sure about the latter one at all.. Get both fit, hungry and on form and we'll have two cracking players. Having said that, Hogans not done too well at Villa and I think Judge has had injury problems. Would be happy with both though, very happy. Anyone else kind of excited about the players we have bought and are linked to? Added to BOS, Chair and Smyth who had successful loans/end of season?

And now spongeparr, we are linked to a young player named MacKay from Swansea(?). Just a rumour on Twitter.

Just what we need! "Former Rangers midfielder Barrie McKay has admitted he’d love to return to Ibrox one day......"

he was good at rangers a few seasons ago and very highly rated. hit and miss for forest but had some pretty good games for them. at swansea he's been pretty lackluster and has struggled for form.
might be a decent signing for us and he's a left winger too which we need with freeman going. i'd rather used our scoutinh network and tried to find a gem

That's Championship btw not Scot Prem
Time for an intervention. No more ex Rangers.
If Warburton gets sacked before the end of the season like most of our managers do then we will be stuck with all these guys.

Presume Judge will cost around 1m and we might go for him once Freeman/Luongo are sold. Could have had him for free in April or maybe a small fee? His recent stats are poor and I wonder where exactly he fits in the side. I want to see Eze and Chair starting regularly this season rather than an injury prone 30 year old.

Hi friendly Bee here. Judge was/is not injury prone. He got a double break of his leg caused by an horrendous tackle by Luke Hyam at Ipswich. It kept him out for nearly 2 years. He's done really well to get back. Prior to that he was one of the best players in the Championship and we were about to sell him to Newcastle. We let him go to Ipswich on a free last January to get regular football as he was in the last year of his contract (which we had renewed for 2 further years when he was injured) and he was not fit enough to get into our starting 11. He has proved his fitness in the second half of last season and even got back into the Ireland team. He could be a great signing for you. Forget about Hogan. He's still got 2 years on his contract, cost £9m and Villa pay him £60k per week! Out of both our leagues I'd say. Cheers.

Would be well happy with signing Alan Judge. I'd hope we sign him and a couple of strikers before the kick-off.

Sensible move I think. A squad needs 3 keepers. We obviously have that young Polish keeper too, but I suspect he needs another loan or 2 before we could consider him at this level.

Barrie McKay 'a target' for ex-Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton at QPRThe 24-year-old looks set to link up with Waburton for the third time ByTom Leach 19:00, 3 JUL 2019 Former Nottingham Forest chief Mark Warburton is said to be close to landing Reds flop Barrie McKay at Championship rivals QPR. The 24-year-old winger joined Warburton's Forest in 2017 for a fee of £500,000 and arrived at the City Ground with plenty of expectation. And during the first half of the season he impressed, scoring five and bagging seven assists before Christmas. At Loftus Road, Warburton seems determined to rebuild his Rangers side that saw the club promoted back to the Scottish Premier League in 2016. Three former Ibrox stars have already joined the Hoops, with Lee Wallace, Liam Kelly and Dom Ball having made the move. Now, according to the Daily Record, Warburton wants to make that four by landing McKay, who still has two years left on his current contract at Swansea City. www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/barrie-mckay-a-target-ex-3050159

Barrie Mckay is the modern day Charlie Miller looked half decent at Rangers but was garbage everywhere else. Much rather we went after Alan Judge.
