Strangely enough he suffered multiple breaks to his left leg whilst playing against Ipswich. Ouch. But I can't help thinking a ligament would be worse. I once dislocated my knee and snapped anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments. Written up in the Lancet! |

few teams are after lawrence shankland. played for ayr in league 1 and the championship but has been an absolute goal machine scoring 65 in 75 games over the past 2 seasons. out of contract now and surely worth a punt? only 23 too

I don’t think it’s him, also the club made a bit of a thing about there being 2 Matt smiths now that the young lads here. Surely they wouldn’t fuck Smith senior off on the same day ? If it is him that’s a sure fire sign we’re in the market for some fire power. I actually feel great about the clubs recruitment this summer and trust that they will get it right.

BTW, a lot of people are worried about the outgoings. A lot of these players would be starting when we go on 6,7 game losing streaks. We need to lose that mentality so I see all this as a positive. As long as the club has a plan and we have some decent players lined up.

Do we have anyone in the youth that is ready to make the step up? Not from what I've seen mate. Oteh has been about the best centre forward out of our youngsters in the last year or so. I think he's looked a bit out of his depth (or maybe just overawed) when he's been selected for the first team. Smyth is the only player on the fringes that can step up and play as a front man regularly I think. We need to sign a few. I'm sure it's in hand though. Warburton seems to be extremely organised in his transfer dealings. Polar opposite to the shambles we made of last summers transfer window! |
