But would whoever it is, be likely to consistently send out a team so badly prepared as him, week after every sodding week? Sacking Warburton right now isn't the answer.
The only reason for not sacking him is that I wouldn't trust the shower of shite running proceedings to appoint the right car park attendant.
It must be clear to everyone on here, and I mean everyone, that Warburton falls short. He can not motivate them consistently, and he still cant set them up when the ball is lost. But as long as Les, Hoos and the current board are still in situ don't expect good footballing appointments.

he need players who are able to organise themselves. That`s a problem at our level.

Manning was class earlier in season. Maybe got a move lined up? Was he? A few decent assists, but we must be well into double figures of goals conceded that he was at fault for.

Paul Cook at Wigan and Warne at Rotherham are two managers I like ... But ideally I would have liked us to look abroad. Give John Eustace a chance is also an option.

Great post Hal. The players are a disgrace and there is no excuse for the level of performance they have given since lockdown. The club is rotten and will not change in-to a overhaul at the very top takes place. Total shambles and insulting to think we are a professional football club.

I have no idea who would come. Nobody knows until they are approached. But would whoever it is, be likely to consistently send out a team so badly prepared as him, week after every sodding week? It wouldn’t be nearly as bad losing every week if we were showing any signs of playing some decent stuff. Or if the players looked bothered. But I genuinely don’t think that Warburton has it in him to tell them just how embarrassing they are. And if I’m wrong and he does, well then they simply aren’t listening and continuing to disrespect him. Think the players have to be to blame for a) clearly not keeping themselves fit, and b) I don't care what they say, they don't give a shit and are coasting to the end of the season. As Westy said earlier, very unprofessional the lot of them. Sacking Warburton right now isn't the answer. Absolutely agree with you about the players. They are dreadful and should be thoroughly ashamed of their performances since the restart. Totally unprofessional. As for the last bit, I guess it depends what you expect from your manager. Winning every week, being a tactical genius and getting things right almost every time, is completely unrealistic. However, you need to be able to motivate your players. You need to be able to organise a defence and get them to play in a coherent manner. You simply cannot be allowed to make exactly the same mistakes, week after week and expect no repercussions. The players need, as a bare minimum, to at least look like they are bothered. They need to learn from mistakes, not repeat the same ones. They need to provide entertainment. It’ll come as no surprise at all when the ST sales are way down on this season. And it’s crystal clear to me, why that will be. I think people have had enough of lame excuses, from a club that constantly over promise and under deliver. I noticed a post from you earlier, well before the game started, saying you couldn’t be bothered to watch. I thought it was a really sad indictment of the club in general. I was tempted to list a whole bunch of reasons as to why I very much doubted I’d be renewing. Suffice to say, today illustrated it perfectly and I really have got better things to do with my time, than be suckered into giving the management team the benefit of the doubt any longer.

Good post Brights. Unfortunately this club is only going one way and that is down and that has been the case since May 2014. We are at some point going to drop out of the champuonship and I predicted 18 months ago to a fellow poster it would be next season and think that is the likely scenario. This regime bears similarities to us under Chris Wright in that we spent big and paid the price and it was a 3 to 4 year slow death before we ended up in Division 2. Change is needed at the very very top to give our great club a bit of hope and until that hapoens we don't even have that.

Gone need hope Wallace can step up next season if Manning goes but I remember comments about him not looking that great at times this season himself

He wasn't falling short before the lock down was he? In fact with us in the position we were, having cobbled together a squad of youngsters, freebies and loans, we were overachieving. But you've had it in for him all season to be quite frank so I'm not surprised you're calling for it too.

Lee Bowyer and Chris Hughton would be two names I would consider if available or would want the job.
Others to consider would be Kenny Jackett or Karl Robinson.
Then ( put my tin hat on) Joey Barton...thought his fleetwood team played some one touch football in both legs of play off.
MW seems a very stubborn man and unwilling to admit his mistakes this season..probably needs a stronger assistant beside him to tell him when he’s wrong..

Would love Hughton here but can't see why he want the job. Where's mick McCarthy nowdays? Remember him working wonders on a budget at Ipswich.

There was talk of Hughton going to Bristol City the other day.
No brainer in my opinion if he’d come. A man I’d trust to pick up little known gems and turn them into much better players. But he’ll go elsewhere, while we dither once again.
Depressing to even think of the line ups we’ll be fielding next season.

He's bit of a promotion specialist but like Warnock bit out of his depth once in the big league. Ninj not wrong though, hits still find a reason to moan if he got appointed 😁

He'd take one look at us though and say no thanks.

Manning was class earlier in season. Maybe got a move lined up? All about opinions but What season was that ? Manning has been targeted by every team we play and is the chief architect of many our failings in defence. His only redeeming factor is his ability to cross a ball when given acres of space which is not very often because he’s unable to run or beat an opponent with a trick. More use as a corner flag. you Sparx are my hero Someone else who sees what I do. I’ve given up moaning about him

Warburton unfortunately will end in tears as the defensive side will always bury his way of managing especially with the quality of players we have. The should have a season review based on results and performance and make a decision based on that.
