Would love Houghton at club but same time would prefer he never came as we have an element at out club who would turn it into a black thing from the off and if it went wrong saying it was token appointment so on that basis if we did ever need a manager he would be well advisers to stay clear

Nothing to do with colour all about his ability to get us results and give us hope something that is lacking big time right now. CH is no JFH he is Proven manager with a decent CV.

There was talk of Hughton going to Bristol City the other day. No brainer in my opinion if he’d come. A man I’d trust to pick up little known gems and turn them into much better players. But he’ll go elsewhere, while we dither once again. Depressing to even think of the line ups we’ll be fielding next season. Problem we have next year is we will have money to spend if owners are willing to push club forward. Can MW spot a good transfer target ? I’m not sure the players that he brought in have been a big success other than Masterson. Big decision in allowing MW a free hand on a large outlay of cash that’s needed on players next season for a reasonable push up the league. I would be inclined to stick with MW until Xmas 21 but give him a couple of Million to find two young gems and rely on free transfers and see how it pans out. Think we have probably got enough to stay up next year if we can keep Bos and Eze.

Any money we get from the sales of our players I reckon will be used to keep the club going, and not used replacing those players. Finance will have taken a big hit because of the pandemic.

Out of work, Spurs connection.... I could see it happening. No mug so I think it would come down to what HE thinks of the club set up - and the offer of course.

Unfortunately, you just know that Les would come out and make a big thing of it, which in turn, would attract the criticism. To be fair to Les though, if Hughton were white, they’d bring up Spurs.😂

Having said all that didn't he take over Brighton when they were in shit situation? They did but have a owner/chairman with ambition who wanted to push the club on and move forward.

If it shouldn't be worth mentioning then he shouldn't mention it either.

your right it should not be but it would be. It’s a shame Not once there were points on the board. as soon as he lost few games (like Warburton) it would be the same. Unless winning week in week out

West Brom must be laughing because if they need goals to win the league, they've only got to wait until we play them last game of the season !

We get gates of say 15k people - would be tiny number of bigots and if he was pink with blue spots no one can deny he's a proper manager who would have been recruited on his record.

74% possession, 600+ passes and 1 shot on target.
What a fucking waste of time.

74% possession, 600+ passes and 1 shot on target. What a fucking waste of time. That was my frustration too. What's the point of constantly passing it back and forth across the back four, then to midfield, then back again, then repeat ad nauseum? I mean what does doing that actually fucking achieve, especially when you're losing a game? Why not someone just pick up the ball and make a forward run for a change, and actually run at the oppositions defence? Now there's a novel idea!! It may even provide a modicum of entertainment for the paying audience!! Or if not a forward run, then how about the odd defence splitting pass or two, in which a forward player actually manages to pull his defender and run into a bit of space?! Are such basic patterns of play really too much for fans to expect FFS?!
