OK so if someone came up to you and told you how to do your job, and they were not a professional in the same field as you, would you take offence or listen to them? Good mate of mine sees a lot of youth football in the area and has tried to recommend a few prospects to the club in the past.
Don't think he's ever got anywhere.

And why should they? They might put a scout on the case if they review footage of a player they've been ripped off about and like what they see. Rare, but does happen. |

Bankole, Bob Malcolm, Borrowdale, Armel Tchakounte, Steve Morrow, Koejoe, Mark Hately etc
They contacted me after the game yesterday looking for more recommendations.

Added problem is fans rate players differently and they could get thousands of referrals how could you keep up with and check all of them
Was playing football earlier and one of the guys on our side was superb and I thought your good enough play league football turns out he’s playing non league. I understand ginges perspective

Either way, don't think the club are that receptive to fans recommendations. I can understand why too. Loads of good reasons as to why suggested on this thread. To be fair, a lot of the issues we've had under TF have stemmed from him listening to fans opinions on social media. |

That was what I was thinking of 1973ranger. On another thread, Head of Recruitment at the club stated that they primarely scouted players on your shores  . I think he also mentioned that they were following clubs just as much as a particular player. I guess he was refering to the system as such and how it matched how we are set-up.. |

Lazy recruitment policy. Washington at 2.75 million who leaves for nothing or Pukki at 400k or whatever it was with a 4 or 5 million sell on value. |
