It’s a funny morning. First day of the season and across the country fans are sat at home
Got me thinking what could be the long term impact on the club of this period. If fans get out of the habit of making the pilgrimage to the Bush will they return, will fans who would usually go week in week out get comfy watching games on the sofa and look for streams in future??
Could we lose the next generation of fans, depending how long this goes on, as they won’t experience the overall Match day experience and like above get used to watching/following City or arsenal etc on sky
I would hope the club use having less fans at ground as a chance to save some serious overheads but think they need think what does the future hold and how do we attract fans back as I’m sure plenty who have simply gone QPR week in week out because it’s what they do, who will possibly go a year or more of not going and will have found new ways of filling their weekends in may just chuck it in.
Now more then ever, for next two seasons, we probably need couple of seasons were we’re seriously in play off/promotion hunt to maintain fans interest and get them coming back
This would also be great time sort out family stand issue once and for all to try and get atmosphere back but also give families settled location.
I’m sure there will be more pros and cons but that my initial thoughts
