Since Joe Lumley has reclaimed the keepers spot there has been a significant improvement in his distribution with his feet.
He deserves great credit for the way he brushed aside previous criticism and put in a number of good performances and possibly MOM on a couple of occasions.
Interesting that the club appear to be letting his contract run down despite Joe being MW first choice keeper..

He may have turned us down, I know I would in his shoes after the way he's been treated online by our "fans".

Arguably he'd have had the same treatment whichever club he'd been at. Are QPR's Twitter mob any worse than other clubs'? I have my doubts! Stay off 'antisocial-media' or at minimum never read the comments, is the best advice to ANY footballer.

I think Lumley looked good last weekend. Threw the ball out quick a few times which seemed to suit him better than trying to play with his feet and also fits well with the way we try to play on the break.
Deserves to keep his shirt for tonight, although I'm a long way from convinced still. Shame we are out of the cup as that would have been a good route to give Dieng some game time.

I'll settle for fewer handling errors. Tbf he has improved.

It's not being able to use your feet it's making stupid decisions and putting yourself under pressure.
Hoof it when you need to and pass it when you can.
Rest of the time just concentrate on keeping the ball out of the net.

Having watched Lumley now for a while The thing that is obvious is how bad his footwork is when preparing to make a save. The bloke always looks like he is on his heels rather than on his toes. Conceded quite a few not disimilar to the first one last night.

Dieng must wonder wtf is going on when he continuously gets left out of the squad and see the 2 clowns in his place. Wouldn't blame him if he didn't sign another contract as I'm sure he will get game time elsewhere

I’ve looked at the first goal again a few times and admit I got it wrong. As Green says, he never really got himself set. When the cross is sent in it’s blinding obvious he won’t reach it but still hesitates before trying to cover the back post. Unfortunately for him, it’s a great header, down towards his feet. I feel for Lumley a bit though. The ball going in off his bollocks as he tumbled into the goal behind it doesn’t make his effort to save it look any better😬

I like Lumley but I think he is a league one keeper. Kelly is simply lower half of the Scottish premiership.
Get Dieng in and a decent older pro who can play backup and help him develop.
