To be fair to Albert, he is fit as a fiddle. I was pleasantly surprised how well he coped last year at being used twice a week for a prolonged period. 2 years is a bit punchy, but maybe he's taken a significant drop in favour of a longer deal?

If Uncle is speaking about that shithouse Richards then good on him. Highlights the difference between a real pro and a freeloading prima dona. Not as good as he was but massive respect for him show willing to the cause during this bad period. Good person to have around the young players

i've got no issue with albert picking up the wage that the club offered to him. uncs doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who'd sit back and take the piss out of a club but at the end of the day he's just picking up the wage he's entitled too.
had a good first season with us but is clearly past his best but credit to him, he tries his hardest everytime he does play.

Its why I avoid Twitter. Can't stand the way if you met someone face to face they would be nice as pie but hidden behind a keyboard they think its ok to be completely poisonous. They never seem to reflect on what we were all taught in the primary school playground - "how would you like to be on the receiving end of that?"

Love the guy, 525 appearances in the Championship is a hell of an achievement. Might've lost his legs towards the end of his time here but you for sure need characters like him in the squad, especially when they love the club as much as he does.

What a brilliant bloke.
Hes been fantastic for us, and im sure he would of enjoyed playing for the club he loves.
Hopefully one day he does come back as a coach or as fan even.
Wish him all the best for the future, he will always be welcome back at the club im sure.
