Two defeats in seven this season
Guessing more if you include end of last as did we go two or three undefeated at the end?

Any team has to be built from the back. Early indications we're doing that? Teeny-weeny acorns 😉

Positive: Another clean sheet, looking better at the back than last season.
Negative: 1 win in 7, when we should really have at least 4. God help us when we play a good side if we don’t start taking chances.

You have to look at the bigger picture. We are in the transition and it takes time. Short term thinking is not what we need atm. I appreciate that mate but are you happy with our transition period ending in relegation then as at the rate we are picking up winds ie one every 5/6 games we are going to be transitioning into league 1 under MW! We are not going to get relegated.

I agree that MW seems out of his depth and we need a more shrewd manager who can come in and drive some life in this team! It is to early to pull the trigger Doc, I agree. I think we need to get to 12-15 games and then really assess. Which one is it then Maids?! Honestly, Stanley, I’m torn on the matter. I really don’t like changing managers and after another shody display today emotionally my reaction is to get rid and I’m personally frustrated with his decision making right now. Also 6 wins from the last 32 games is shocking, relegation form and something I don’t think should be ignored. My gut says MW is so stubborn he’s going to be his own downfall which again frustrates me because I actually think our squad and certainly best 11 isn’t a to bad team and one in this years championship which is poor in quality that could hold its own. Emotion aside I think MW deserves another half dozen games to try and turn it around. If the next 6/7 deliver a similar points return to the first 7 then I would sadly say he needs to go. However, I genuinely hope we have a uplift in form and maybe we can grab 3/4 wins.

It does look poor compared to some recent campaigns.
That's one very good reason why people think we really should be doing a little bit better.
No sane person expects us to be sweeping all before us, but with a few adjustments we could make a big improvement.

We are not going to get relegated. There’s 3 points between us and the relegation spots right now and we can’t hit a barn door to save our life presently. If we don’t pick up our performance levels Ginge we will be in with a scrap and the Coventry game should of been a wake up call to most of us. We haven’t got a Eze this year or even Wells for half a season and those two made such a difference to us last year.

Doc for example wants to give him "at least 2-3 years" compared to your mere 6/7 games. Just shows how differently people see it...

Angel Rangel looks to have the necessary qualities to become a successful manager if MW departs..I would certainly like to see him added to our current coaching staff.
Lee Bowyer looks like he could go on to manage a bigger club like Newcastle or Leeds so certainly would be good enough for us.
Eustice being appointed would be a sideways appointment imo.

Agree on Rangel sometimes you can just look at former player and say you will or will not be good manager. Would 100% look to try and get him involved

Some time ago I (couple of years maybe) I mentioned Kasper Hjulmand, Danish coach, as a solution, when he was sacked in Germany. Good with youngsters etc. He is now the dk national team coach and still looking good. Should have picked him up when he was free I guess.

There's a long list of talented managers we have chosen to ignore under Team Uncle, people who would have been realistic targets when we were looking.
Or maybe they've chosen to ignore us.

How many games do we need to give MW to show we are improving and not regressing ?
Since returning from lock down last season performances have dipped below acceptable standards for me.
He’s had a number of transfer windows to get his own players in.
Personally I would give him a total of 15 games this season to shape up or ship out.
This is a purely results matter industry.. not buying a lottery ticket and hoping yours will be a winner someday.

I´d give him at least the half season, and only consider changing if we are below 18th in the table. (Although, I might lose my patience, if we lost the next 6 matches playing like shit.)

It would be much easier to leave MW in as manager for a longer period of say 20 odd games or even the whole season as realistically there is probably only 1 or 2 places up for relegation due to Sheffield Wednesday points deduction and Wycombe Wanderers expected poor results.
I really don’t think taking the easy route of keeping him for longer than 20 games will be of any benefit to the club if results or performances don’t improve more rapidly than already seen since lockdown.
Would much prefer DOF to spell out a clear message to MW now rather than later.

Agree Wycombe, they're here for the ride and accept that.
