If that’s true that’s pretty significant improvement Be very interested in seeing the how the figures differ from a flat back 4 and a 3 or 5 at the back. Think Barbet especially benefits from having a 3 as he is not strong enough in a flat back 4. Different story when we have 3 centre backs. |

Cameron is the difference. Yes he's a bit past it and makes mistakes but he reads a game really well and this makes up for his shortcomings. I just wish all three of them, and Ball, would cut out the silly fouls that invite danger. Plus having a decent keeper who isn't frightened to boss his area.

i can't sleep so i looked up how many goals we conceded after 27 league games from both seasons.
this season we've conceded 32 in 27 with 8 clean sheets whereas last season we'd conceded 48 in 27 with only 3 clean sheets in that time. not quite 30 less goals but still a massive turn around.

We do seem better organised but Dickie and Dieng are significant improvement on last season’s players in their positions.

Amazing turn around,no one could of seen it. Just shows what spending a bit of sensible money and a change in stance and style can do. Just a pity we wasted half a season to do it otherwise who knows.......

Current squad Sept 25th 2020 They did manage five in half a season though, Bill. But I agree that both squad and tactics have very much improved, since the new arivals and switching to 3 CB formation. |
