that wounds awfully convenient for man city. overall it sounds pretty stupid too. big clubs stay bigger and the EFL will struggle even more.
if there is to be a luxury tax it should be spread to EFL clubs to help sustain and improve them imo.

Personally am all for getting rid of the FFP shit. Whilst well intended, actually think it is counter intuative in the sense that it simply lets the big established clubs with large revenue streams in place spend way more than the smaller clubs. It's them pulling the trap door up behnd them & retaining the status quo. A club now can't get a wealthy owner in willing to throw some cash a it & have them compete with the big boys.
Look at Newcastle now, looks like they'll have to sell Isak in the summer to stay within FFP.

Did you see Spurs first goal today? How many more goals would we have scored if Chair put in early crosses like that?

Everton docked another two points which they will appeal. The way this is going, the final table won't be finalised until well after the seasons finished and all the appeals have been heard.

So, we lose around £24m a year.
Or £72m over three years.
Chelsea reportedly spent £75m in the last two years…
…on effing AGENT’S FEES ffs!

I've got City on my pre-season each way bet, so very happy to see them back at the top. Stuck a tenner on City, Leicester, Bolton and Stockport, each way pays out 1st-3rd in the EFL and 1st and 2nd in the prem. Can't see Bolton finishing in the top 2 now so just praying they keep 3rd so I'll at least get something back. Would've bagged just over 3 grand if all won their leagues.

Yea pre-season I had a 4 fold; Leicester, Derby, Stockport & Chesterfield all to be promoted. Who almsot be laughable if Leicester are the ones to fuck it up considering they were as good as up by Christmas ffs lol

I don't care if he's Chelsea, Cole Palmer is one special player, fantastic that he's coming through from an England perspective, if Southgate has the wit to play him. At the same time I was thinking of an ex-Chelsea player JF Hasselbaink, who was probably the most boring manager we ever had, now an assistant to Southgate. As if Mr Safegate needed anyone even more boring than him on the team. FFS. Etc. Anyway, Palmer scored 4 goals tonight, the first shows what a talent he is.

palmer has been terrific this season, 20 goals in 27 games albeit 7 of those goals came in 2 games.
my best mate is a chelsea fan and thinks he's one of the best players they've had in years. if chelsea don't make a major european competition next year he'll be off imo. personally i think he has madrid written all over him.

Mystery to me that City bought Grealish and got rid of Palmer City don't make many mistakes but this one's a big one. Palmer is class. If Southgate plays Henderson or Phillips over him in the Euros he needs stringing up.

Mystery to me that City bought Grealish and got rid of Palmer I think pep said he never wanted him to go in an interview but Palmer said he wanted be first team player this season and pep said was unable to guarantee that so he asked to leave and they agreed.

But didn’t pick him. As good as Foden by the looks of it and Silva won’t be around much longer.

But didn’t pick him. As good as Foden by the looks of it and Silva won’t be around much longer. Better than Foden, I'd say, a more potent striker, who's scoring for free in a relatively dodgy team, whereas Foden gets silver service at City. And for some reason, Foden doesn't seem to fire when playing for England. Of course Kane will lead the line, but Palmer should be getting minutes. Guaranteed Safegate will leave it late to sub him on though, if at all.

Great stat on Radio 5 Live just now... "Chelsea's 5-0 loss to Arsenal this evening was their biggest loss since losing 6-0 to Queens Park Rangers in 1986."
