See Everton have had 4 points of their deduction reinstated. Means they leapfrog Brentford Personally think Brentford as safe as houses. The bottom three looked nailed on to go down IMHO. The bottom three clubs have two wins between them in their last six games, so a total of 18 games!

Agree mate but good to have them sweating a bit ha Bottom of the Prem is as bad as I can remember it tbh. Sheff U wouldn't be in the mix at the top of the Champ this year IMO.

Guessing with the inconsistent and spineless football authorities, Everton will appeal the decision and have 4 of those 10 points suspended, leaving them with a net deduction of 6 points. Not wishing to say "I told you so", but bloody hell, that was so fcuking predictable... The whole process is bent.

Agree, glad I follow a real team/club but I don’t feel the slightest bit guilty to say I really like watching the top teams - I don’t care how they are funded, life isn’t fair and just and there’s plenty more to worry about in the world than football. Watching DeBruyne and Haaland tonight was a delight. Prem league is a cartel, and the championship is season on season struggling to compete with even the bottom 5. Best thing to happen is all the big 5-6 fuck off to a super league and rest of us crack on. Agree with Alan but agree it's also a cartel. Both things can be true.

Controversial ownerships are an interesting and often amusing side show too. Look what the Glazers have done to Manchester Reds and I reckon SW6 will go tits up eventually. The rule bending that goes on is at least some opposition to the faceless nobs at the FA and EFL. It would be better if these huge clubs did more for the small ones though - City could have saved Bury with their small change but it is also a valid question to ask ‘why should they?’

It would be better if these huge clubs did more for the small ones though - City could have saved Bury with their small change but it is also a valid question to ask ‘why should they?’ agree it can be funny like at manchester reds, don't like piss poor owners like the oystons who used to be at blackpool though. on the topic of the reds, my BIL is a utd fan. i remember him genuinely being serious and asking me "god, do you ever just wish you could support someone else sometimes? like we have it so shit right now. its so hard being a utd fan" i couldn't believe it and said "lets swap league positions then, you're 6th in the table, reached 2 cup finals last year winning one of them, have spent hundreds of millions and still think you have it hard? we're 23rd in the championship with a shit team and probably going down" or words to that affect. big club fans have no idea about struggles. i mean, imagine if we were in utds shoes this season. we'd all be on cloud 9 lol.

You look at that set piece goal from city just now which is sublime and compare that to ours. That’s from simple hard work and drilling on the training ground where as we just appear to cross it and hope someone gets on the end of it.

That’s from simple hard work and drilling on the training ground where as we just appear to cross it and hope someone gets on the end of it. I was watching and thinking exactly the same thing. Of course we have no one close to De Bruyne in terms of ability, but nevertheless, corners are huge opportunities and they should be treated as such. We now have a decent corner taker in Andersen, so we should be spending some serious effort on working out simple but effective corner routines. We have a superb header of the ball in Cook and we have another great attacking defender in Dunne, as well as Field who can score. JCS/Hayden should be used as blockers. Chair, Smyth and Paal as diversions. Willock should stand outside the penalty box to attack balls that come out of the fray. We should work on routines again and again.
We all commented on how many corners we won v WBA for example, yet not one converted. That's criminal.

Surely pool should of had a pen kicking a player in the chest constitutes dangerous play. People will say he touched the ball but how often does a player follow through and a foul is given.
The laws are a joke.

Yeah think Forest deserve it. They decided to hang on to a player and miss that transfer window so they could get more money for him the next window? And justified this by saying this makes them more "sustainable"? I mean, what bollox, we could say breaking FFP by 20m and building a side that might challenge for promotion might make us more sustainable.

Forest deducted points. Always the little guys. Never the Big Six Wankers. Stinks. Well, by the letter of the law, they broke the rules. Can't see their appeal being successful, especially given the Prem wanted them deducted 8 points and the panel were going to deduct them 6, but gave them back 2 points for their cooperation through the process. The law is the law. Heard on BBC 5 Live that the Man City enquiry will be another year before results are announced, but expecting some BIG fallout from that. Unless of course there are some seriously substantial back-handers in play...

that wounds awfully convenient for man city. overall it sounds pretty stupid too. big clubs stay bigger and the EFL will struggle even more.
if there is to be a luxury tax it should be spread to EFL clubs to help sustain and improve them imo.

Personally am all for getting rid of the FFP shit. Whilst well intended, actually think it is counter intuative in the sense that it simply lets the big established clubs with large revenue streams in place spend way more than the smaller clubs. It's them pulling the trap door up behnd them & retaining the status quo. A club now can't get a wealthy owner in willing to throw some cash a it & have them compete with the big boys.
Look at Newcastle now, looks like they'll have to sell Isak in the summer to stay within FFP.
