Gerrard in prem would be interesting Fat franks stock don’t seem be that high when jobs continue up gerrard will win the CL one day imo. he's the best up and coming british manager around, what he's done with rangers is nothing short of spectacular and not just him winning the league either as he's also had a few runs in the uefa cup. i know its just the SPL but he's certainly exceeded expectations, i wouldn't mind him as england boss tbh and feel that we'd have more chance of winning a cup with him than southgate. |

Farke is scapegoat for Norwich board failure to back him properly in premier div when there. It all well and good slating him, but you got to give him a fighting chance. This is why parachute payments should be scrapped. If they not going to invest and just yo-yo banking the dish what’s the point. How many other businesses do you get 3 years of hand outs for fucking up?

Same reason Rodgers left Celtic for Leicester to test himself all season and not in half a dozen games. Eventually will end up at Liverpool but cannot go from Rangers to Liverpool without a proper test. |

Two? 3, dyche, potter and now howe. plus there's moyes and rodgers too representing the UK. still pretty abysmal lol. dyche is also the longest reigning manager in the prem at 9 years, klopp is second with 6. english managers just don't seem to get the chance and have a reputation for playing boring football. |

They may want a more experienced manager mate. It's about who they can attract. My suspicion is that whoever they get will come with a bit of a story. Big gamble. If Villa bomb he may never get to Liverpool, but he was never going to go there straight from Rangers.

But he was never going to walk into Liverpool, so has to prove he can do it at a higher level than the Scottish Prem with one of the choice of two League Champions. OK, he won the title for a record 50th time, stopping Celtic getting a 10th consecutive title.
But that's all he's won in the 3.5 years he's been there, and he's spent an eye-watering amount of money doing it. As BBC Scotland puts it:
"Steven Gerrard has won one trophy in his three and a half years at Rangers, ... [St Johnston manager] Callum Davidson won two trophies on a budget of washers."
Sounds like Villa have promised to back him financially and I reckon he'll have a big motivational impact on players there.
I certainly expect them to start picking up results - will be interesting to see how he's doing 2 years down the line.
