Loads of ability but a 24 carrot bellend. Be surprised if he lasts the season before he loses interest and downs tools

Fuck me what a waster. Had bundles of ability. Yes, he had all the attributes to become a top player, was involved with England set up at youth level as well. Only lacked the most crucial ability, ie. mentality.

Ability and skill too have had a decent career in the top flight but wrong mentality. More interested in off the field lifestyle than on it.
Suppose in a way it’s fair enough and his choice he might just be good at football but don’t love it and sees it as a job only. How many of us dread going to work or just keep a job because it pays well and keeps the lifestyle we want. Is being a footballer any different?

I’d say being a footballer is a lot different than most jobs. He could have potentially made himself a multi millionaire and retired in his early 30’s. Instead he’s now scratching around in the lower leagues. Even if he didn’t particularly like his job, he could have been out of it a lot sooner with a much bigger bank balance, just for putting in the effort.

The one thing wrong with being retired is your age. I would have loved the freedom I have now in my forties. Plus, as you say, players have the money.

As the saying goes Alan, youth is wasted on the young. Can’t imagine when I’ll be able to retire but it won’t be anything soon and when I do I won’t have anywhere near enough money to do the things I’d love to do. Muppets like Jet had it all on a plate but couldn’t use their noddle.

BAE had no idea who wolves were for example lol. ben white and bobby zamora are 2 others who don't have any love for the game. difference is those 3 players were professionals who have made the most out of their career.

Ravel another who gave it away and there will be others possibly our own Richards in same boat. Who was the CB from youth set up everyone rated who we let go to Barnsley and there was uproar but he disappeared then their is Leon jeanne loads of examples and those are just QPR ones. I don’t think football is different it’s a job at the end of the day only difference is the salary. We assume it’s easy life but if you’re not actually into living a healthy life style, eating right, exercising etc I can imagine it would feel very much the same as someone earning decent dough as an electrician who hates their profession. Your getting up each morning for the money alone some people can drag it out others can’t. You like your job or you don’t.

Muppets like Jet had it all on a plate but couldn’t use their noddle. It does seem that way looking from the outside, but we never know the full story. Given the hand dealt, I could probably have made a good career just about anywhere, but different circumstances dictated that I now work as a carer doing 24h shifts. Gives me a shit salary, but a lot of time for my kids. From the outside you could say, I didn't fulfill my potential, but the important thing is, that I'm happy the way things turned out (most of the time). Maybe JET is similar the fucking waster 🤣

England International at u20s. I really thought we had a gem there, but mentality issues once again. We need to get a goddamn psychotherapist/motivational coach involved at our youth set up to stop this fucking shit, imo.
