If Heverton was played at right mid/ right wing in the friendly I wonder if the club factored in Willock's flaky lack of loyalty a while ago and have been planning on playing Chair left, Andersen central and Heverton out right? It might explain why we had signed another so-called "right back" when we have Cannon and Dunne for those positions already?

Can’t see that personally don’t see anything Cardiff can offer him that we can’t. If he’s off I would be amazed if it’s there.

From what ihave read elsewhere, I think its his dad that is as much of the issue, thinks his son should be in the Prem with his other son. Rose tinted glasses.

www.qpr.co.uk/news/2024/july/10/chris-willock-moves-on/ official now. no ill will to him personally, was a great player for us and we wouldn't have stayed up last season without him. not as gutted at losing him as i would have thought, more excited at seeing who replaces him.

Not bothered in the slightest. Trust the club to replace him with quality. The thing that has pissed me off about all of this is he’s clearly tried to get more money, fair play to the club for sticking to its guns. He’s not half as in demand as he assumed he would be, if the rumours are true he’s about to sign for fucking Cardiff 😂😂😂they must have been queuing round the block

Oh well.
Good player on his day, had brilliant moments, but also downed tools & was shite for long periods. If he wanted too much then it is a good thing he is being let go. Wish him well.

That has to be my favourite Nourry farewell message. Not quite good riddance, but making it very clear that he wanted more money than we were prepared to pay, and an opt out. He was not committed to the cause... Love it!

Fuck him. Lightweight. Bye. Boo him when he comes back. He was certainly lightweight last season - went missing when we needed him most. Think a lot of normally very good posters on here gave him a free pass compared to some other players who seemed to be judged by much higher standards. His sulky body language, cowardice in the tackle and lack of effort all suggest to me he was not a great team influence and whilst pre-injury he was a brilliant player we have seen only fleeting flickers of that the last year. Delighted the club are standing firm. Boo the fuck out of him when he returns.

Yes, but most of those bad days under Ainsworth, who didn't appreciate him at all. That's why I will remember only good days, and those were many.

We’re only getting rumours of incomings when deal is nearly done .. boring when no news on newsnow but definitely being run in a more professional stat focussed way. U’rrrrs

By all accounts he/ his dad asking for crazy money for a player whose hamstring has exploded three times. I expect they were happy to pay him a chunky signing on fee because its otherwise a free transfer. Am delighted we didn't and glad this rotten apple is out of our dressing room. Noury is 100% right in my view: we only want players who are 100% committed. Venables was one of our best ever managers and he would sometimes leave out or sideline very talented individuals because for him it was all about the team.
