Too many times we say, should have won that, but it's a good point. Need to be more ruthless. Drawn last 3 games. Could and probably should have won all 3.

2 goals conceded in 3 games since poor Coventry showing. Not losing should build some confidence. I think things are looking good.

Knocker is right tho, you need to score when you're dominating or you will get mugged more often than not. We don't have that edge - more service to Dykes could sort that.

I woke up this morning and was thinking exactly this too Good away point but we need to finish teams off even if it is Bournmouth 2 extra points is critical going forward and we will need as many as possible We need to be more ruthless in Bang on the money

Missed Dykes yesterday and was encouraged by seeing him create the winner for Scotland the other night showing he is more than just a big lump up top. Get the service right and we could have a very good season.

A clean sheet AND a point (without Dykes), away to Bournemouth. That's a good result however you choose to spin it.

We won 16 last season and lost 20. Swansea won 18 and made the playoffs. The difference was not losing. Think we'll be fine and encouraged by our start and our business in the transfer window.

There was a hell of a lot to be encouraged about yesterday but we were the better team with 3 or 4 good chances and should have won I agree.

Definately more positives than negatives to take from yesterdays game

The biggest positive for me so far is the new signings who have all come in and done ok and are settling in well. Fair play to whoever has recruited this summer as all seem to have value.

I get that but sometimes just have to hold hand up and say keeper did well. True, but we lack the ability to turn the heat up for short periods when we are on top. We tend to let teams off the hook and regroup. Maybe it will come when the team settles.

I think we have dropped points because MW has refused to play the right players in their correct positions tbh.
Amos as a CAM doesn’t work and Chair out on the left wing has been nothing short of disappointing so far.
Amos did have his best game in the 10 role yesterday but he’s not the answer and Chair looks lost as a winger, he’s not quick and for some reason he loves to cut back all the time rather than drive forward. Plus his set piece deliveries are shocking.
Most encouraging thing for me was I thought Willock and Adomah looked so much more threatening when they came on.
Adomah definitely looks a little rusty but that’s expected and Willock just looked a class player who I think would thrive in the 10 role.
Would love to see Bonne and Dykes up top as well as I think the big and smal duo would cause teams problem.
MW could be our downfall this season because I think we now have a decent team but he’s got to play the right players in their best position.
Best team for me right now is -
Dieng
Kakay dickie barbet Wallace
Ball Cameron/Carroll
BOS Willock Adomah
Dykes/Bonne
This is based on MW’s insistence he can’t play another formation!

MW our downfall? Give it a rest.
Willock and Adomah have just joined and are being eased in.
Dykes was injured.
Some on here really are glass half empty types.
I took from it - Dykes looks quality. Kakay the type of right back that is strong at the back and going forward. Wallace looked assured.
Clean sheet with defence looking solid.
Amos had his best game for us and will continue to improve.
Willock and Adomah look skilful and clever.
MW had 3 of out better players unfit to start.
I applaud his acquisitions and the look of his new team.
We are where we are now BECAUSE of MW and his skill set not luck!

Maids, you say you'd love to see Bonne and Dykes together but have only included one of them in your best team?...

Sorry Awin, think you’ve taken this the wrong way because I was delighted with not only our transfer business in the end but also the way we played yesterday. All that said this is still a forum isn’t it and I’m merely stating that as things stand MW’s insistence on playing two players out of position consistently is frustrating me and many other QPR fans tbh. Maybe the word downfall is a poor choice but as stated above I think we have a decent team now and if he plays the right players in their correct positions I think we could surprise quite a few teams this year and many even finish top half. I’m excited by the team he’s built I just now want to see him pick the right players in positions they can do some damage. As a point of discussion in MW’s previous posts if you listen to some of the fans they all say plays great football but their frustrations came from the lack of diversity in terms of formation changing and also playing certain players in odd positions. I just hope the fact we have Adomah, Willock and co now that Amos can move back to a more cm or cdm role and if chair can get in the team he’s gets to play more central l!

1 point is of course superior to no point, but you have to be careful as too many drawn games can get you relegated the same as lost games.

Really do understand your point and to a degree sympathise with it. Yesterday however, we had Thomas out injured and Adomah and Willock not match fit. As a result we again had to move chair out wide (where he rarely impresses) but he wanted width (which Bournemouth fans claim was their undoing) i am sure going forward he doesn’t intend to play chair in that position and only has done so until now out of necessity.

I think your right mate in the fact that he was not going to make the immediate changes to the team yesterday. The reason I brought it up in this thread was it’s about not being clinical enough and I personally think that him playing Amos and Chair out of position has been one of the reasons we haven’t been scoring. I’m excited at the prospect of Adomah, Willock playing as I think they will add more cutting edge to us very quickly.
