Been looking at the way some of the German clubs are run in terms of the stake the fanbase has.
Got me thinking about the current value of the club re buy outs etc. What d'you reckon?
One problem is that there is still an outstanding charge on the entire LR property. In favour of Barclays, Hong Kong.

The trouble for fans groups is they have to refinance the clubs debts if they take it over. When Bees United took over Brentford from Ron Noades we had to acquire guarantees of circa £9m from Noades to Barclays Bank. BTW he never put any money into the club - just guaranteed it to the bank. So we had a loan note issue from Bees United to raise cash and individuals putting their own houses up as collateral to buy time. In the end we were very fortunate that Matthew Benham came forward to replace Noades as Guarantor to the bank. Eventually he paid off the loans and bought control of the club from Bees United. The rest is now history. We would never be where we are now without him.

And we probably would not be where we are now without Tony Fernandes.

The fans are not going to buy the club. If there is another Chris Wright out there then an Individual might, but as a bulk of fans lumping together it won’t happen

Also I'm more interested in valuing the club than suggesting a supporters trust buy out.
However, its worth noting that in 13 the club was valued at 55m. I strongly suspect that today it would actually be worth less.
Hypothetically then we're not talking astronomical amounts, assuming that there is a will to do business on the Malaysian side.
How much do they want? That was the question.

Even the most retarded person in the world in these times wouldn't consider purchasing a football club.

Bottom of any market means there are always people with an eye on value.
I'm just trying to work out how much the club is worth as of now. The Barclays charge was an eye opener, weren't we all told that it had been satisfied? The fact that it's on the real estate is a sobering thought....

Don’t think they have any interest in parting. They have just invested in a training ground during pandemic when their other businesses are suffering, that’s them doubling down in my eyes.
Would not even know where to start in putting value on club. Can’t imagine medium size club, which spends more then it brings in is worth that much.

It is the land that's the value. Infrastructure on it second then various smaller assets like mowers vehicles etc. Players are just employed and contracts have a shelf life.

The value is not the club, its only in the land asset.
And that's exactly why Barclays have a preferential charge on it.
