Is there now a misunderstanding over EXACTLY what the intention of the booing was?
Or was it only directed towards the player making the salute and not the kneeling of the rest of the players?
Is it booing of BLM as a political organisation (and their various ideologies) now infiltrating sport, which traditionally has always kept the two things apart, and for good reason? And not the actual statement 'Black Lives Matter'?
Is it the booing of the double standards of FIFA / UEFA / Sky/ EPL / EFL who too have always advocated and indeed legislated over keeping politics out of sport?

But as far as I’m concerned, if our players indulge themselves in any more of this pathetic virtue signalling for much longer, then I think the time will have come to relinquish my ST. ☹️

I would like to ask players who kneel exactly what they do to support or influence the cause they are highlighting for the other 99.9% of the time they are not on TV. Rashford deserves all the praise he gets for using his fame to actually DO something useful for the issue he feels strongly about. As for Dion Dublin saying players who don't kneel are racist that's outrageous and only harms the debate. I'm not racist but I wouldn't kneel for anything - just my freedom to choose.

No I honestly don’t and it’s why Les took the decision a month or so ago. I do honestly believe that black people still do encounter prejudice and therefore choose to take the knee to highlight it. I am fully in support of any individual that makes the choice to kneel. |

Correct mate, I don’t. The white players are the ones virtue signalling. The black ones are just as ill informed though, in my opinion. They have absolutely no idea as to the damage they are doing and how much of a negative impact it will have on all the great work done by “Kick it out”. Our club does fantastic work throughout the community in many areas, including educating young people that racism is abhorrent. Many of the players are regularly involved in that work. Quite right too. But supporting that mob? Not for me. |
