After over 50 years of support I feel really sad about the state of our club. It seems the powers that be are content to just jog along with no real ambition. Yes I have seen the ups and downs on many occasions but I think my enthusiasm is beginning to wane due to the above. I know we have financial constraints but we have been there before. We also in the dark days always had hope and that carried me through but the current regime leave a lot to be desired on so many fronts it leaves me struggling to stay interested I'm sorry to say .

Hope I will return when it's back to normal but not really sure. Out of the habit now and used to watching every game at home.

I am really missing it and things have been far worse than this. I quite like the way we are now bringing young players through again at last for instance.

A lot of it is down to the modern day players , we have nothing in common they get fantastic wages for kicking a football and some of them think they are doing us a favour pulling on the shirt. We hear they have to play 2 games a week and how hard it is for them .my brother gets up at 5am 6 days a week and plays football on his day off . These badge kissing mercenaries are so out of touch with us . I question myself often what am I doing at football . Get as much enjoyment watching my local team on a sunday

Last game I attended was good 10 years ago, work 6 sometimes 7 days a week. The whole football thing changed for me as I got a lot older. Same with pubs mowdays, been over a year since I just went for a drink,I'm not that bothered. I just with my time now enjoy different things.

Forgive me for saying this, folks. I've been a fan for over forty years, long standing season ticket holder in the Elllerslie, but I'm tired of being constantly subjected to the club's stance on political matters. I object to being lectured to when I watch football. Whatever the lecture. I'm lectured to everywhere else. The club can support its chosen causes off the pitch. Players too, as private citizens, when they are not playing football. Never on the pitch. Presently, on the pitch, I expect only to watch a poor team perform badly. Nothing more. To be honest, I'm so fed up, I feel I have to take a break from watching games and following the club. I avoided the Millwall game because of the associated shitfest.
On the pitch I don't want players lecturing us. On anything. People of privilege in the top five percent of earners, driving around in £100K cars, holding up a banner opposing inequality? Pumping their fists in support of an extremist movement? QPR must be alienating long standing fans who've been following the club for decades. I can't be the only one fed up, can I?
This is a wonderful forum, with such lovely, genuine, well informed people on it. It's a real pleasure following the Rs with you all. Win, lose or draw. I'd like nothing more than to watch the game and bitch and moan Saturday. There's little else to do in these awful, shitty times. I'm just tired of things at present. It's not fun. And it annoys me. I cannot presently see past the things I mention. I so wish I could. I hope I can.

I see what you mean, I feel excatly the same way. But I`m Not sure you can entirely blame the club though, it`s almost as every citizen on planet earth has become a politician during the few last years now.

great post 77 and as someone who is rather liberal, open minded and a BLM supporter even i agree. its gotten ridiculous now and its gunna be the start of something big. how can it be only BLM when there's refugees, honour crime victims and disabled people kind of thing if you get me. eventually football will become a platform for that stuff.
its not that i don't care deeply about that stuff either because i really do, but my cutoff point from life is 90 minutes once or twice a week

I think it is society in general to be fair and you could argue QPRs stance on the racism hollow gesture we are seeing is better than most. Certainly at the beginning they felt no need to do it given all the genuine good work they do. However, in typical QPR luck we get embroiled into the Millwall situation. We might have guessed who their next home game was!

The club should have carried on with their own stance and not changed because we played Millwall as that in itself is a token gesture. The club do great work and should not allow itself to be dragged in or down by this other kind of stuff.

Life is all about numbers. If you get enough to think a certain way that becomes the given accepted way. And all other ways are wrong. But if u in the smaller numbers camp its reverse. Who is to say which side is right. Numbers do and a certain moral code you brought up with by the higher numbers.

Also I think the generation born late 80s onwards dont really have anything that's theirs. There is no cultural movement that they invented so they jump on anything else to be heard seen noticed. Bills age had mods rockers then that what were they thinking flares tartan shit and skins. My lot had bit punk 2 tone, new romantic then casual. Nowdays they have more than we did in everything, but are lost. We had little but each other.

We might have guessed who their next home game was! And then Millwall players chose not to kneel after all. I actually think the two teams linking arms behind a banner was a much more effective message as this doesn't divide opinion like kneeling does. It's not the fact it only takes 8 seconds or whatever, it's the gesture.
