Taarabt will not only go down as a QPR legend but one of the best players to EVER play in the championship.
He was a massive pain in the arse no doubt but that’s where management comes in. If players could do what he could do on the pitch I wouldn’t give a shit what they done tbh.

Holloway and Ainsworth are looked at by some fans as a club legends, something that I’ve never agreed with.
Oh come ON mate! Firstly, by pretty much any metric, they are legends - and secondly, it's not 'some fans' it's most of our fans who consider them to be legends. When Olly became manager the first time we were almost dead and buried, on our way out of existence, with a team that stunk as bad as this one. For him to turn it around like he did was incredible, and the buzz, the feeling he created, well, that was probably my favourite time supporting Rangers, from that first game away to Bury in League 1, which I went to, all the way through to promotion back to the Championship. Epic times. For that alone, he is a Rangers legend.
And Wild Thing, he was part of that, and he's exactly the kind of player we love best: a maverick, unique, incredible attitude and a scorer of spectacular goals. And they've both given more to Rangers than pretty much any other player. Legends.

think it depends on the age. i'm only 30 so the likes of ollie resonates more with me than say, dave sexton for example. i don't think ollie is a club legend though. i don't think anyone from my time supporting us is, maybe taarabt is the closest to it? even then its a bit of a stretch. Tarrabt will never be a legend for me. He was a complete dick who never did anything before or since. A complete waste of talent who could never come close to legend status. He turned up half way through the first half of the Leeds game FFS. Wanker .
And this. FFS, what the fuck do some fans want? Mental. I know others have already replied, but Jesus H Christ, what a fucking JOY it was to watch this man in his pomp. How lucky we were to have witnessed that. It's the equivalent of Messi playing for a Championship side. Utterly, utterly awesome.

Both men had distinctly average careers as players. I don’t see anything legendary about playing or managing in League 1, listening to Holloways interview yesterday was a rant and a difficult listen, listening to Ainsworth pre match today was just more hot air guff. Its ok,we don’t have to agree mate.

I’ve never been easy to please where QPR being second rate is concerned Hubble.

Sorry mate, have to say I agree with Sparks. Being great in League 1 for qpr just doesn’t cut it as a legend for me. We were in trouble when we got relegated to League 1 but we were a big club and attracted some of the best players….we nicked Thorpe from Luton, got Rowlands, Ainsworth, Cureton. Legends have to be small in number or it diminishes the word for the true greats like Bowles, Les, Francis etc. the ones that no one can dispute.

And how long did it take Ollie to move Steve Palmer out of central Midfield?!! Bloody hell, a blind man could have seen that!

No need to be sorry for having such a myopic view, Jim! 😉 Of course it's all about opinions. But firstly you're doing him a disservice by saying 'oh he had good players'. You were there during those times, were you not swept up in it all? Sod failing to move Steve Palmer out of midfield! The bucket collections, the 'tribe in our cave'? Olly gave me some of the greatest times I've experienced as a fan. The Oldham play-off semi. Being at Hillsborough, then the afters at the Bush Ranger, the open top bus, those are the things that make following a team worth all the effort, and they are extremely rare events in the life of most fans. Olly gave us that. Forever a legend.

Think the term legend gets banded about a lot but for me Ollie and tarrabt fall into that category. Whatever has happened Ollie will always be welcomed here by me. Took the club when it was on the balls of it’s arse with next to no money and gave it back to us in a better position. Played with his heart on his sleeve and let me tell you now if we had 11 players with that mentality, care and love for rangers we’d be up the top end not in the position we are in now. Tarrabt was just worth the entrance fee alone. Without tarrabt we wouldn’t have been anywhere near winning the league or even getting promoted. It’s not his fault the board are useless Cunts who couldn’t run a bath. As for ainsworth he clearly loves and cares for the club and is proud to have played for it. We need more people who give a shit simple as that. Is he a legend? Not yet but the potentials there to follow a very similar path to Holloway. Jury’s out

Whilst I was season ticket holder during the Ollie years, I still remember the 1990s team and for me, some of them are legends as they made us top London club and performed at the highest level.

Will never forget the story of Holloway paying for the whole squads food on an away day when the QPR credit card was declined.
Didn’t even let the players sort themselves out was first to pay and lead from the front. His passion for us is unmatched. For those reasons I do love him not to mention he was a bloody good footballer for QPR. One of the most hardworking you’ll have ever seen. .
His second stint of management here soured things and he lost his marbles a bit. Came out with a lot of bollox and cheesy cringey sound bites but when all is done and dusted I’d shake the man by the hand and thank him given the chance for the first things mentioned.

rgeneration.net/Quite like this podcast although they haven’t posted since beginning March. I think they tend to do every 2 weeks. I think this one and W12 podcast are the best qpr ones at the moment. Both hosts are pretty good.
