Always thought out of all his generation he had the makings of a decent gaffer and he'll get there. But unlike us, the CFC board don't hang about watching the ship go down.
Get him in now. Move.

If he comes here having been treated to a rousing chorus at Scumford Barge of 'what's it like to shag a horse' then I wouldn't think much of him.

Never. Last thing we need is another experiment. Sorry hal, don't often find myself disagreeing with your posts.

CFC were under an embargo when he arrived there and his stats there and at Derby are nowt to be ashamed of.
His dad was Greenwood era WHU, he's knows the game and he's had a bit of experience.
But if you find MW a more enticing prospect, hey.....
edit: also we've had plenty make the trip north from bridge. so it wouldn't be taboo. Like shagging a horse, for example.

Realistically trying an unproven Manager is where we will probably find ourselves if MW leaves with how we may be viewed by some candidates. I would like to see Gary Penrice appointed as DOF and Angel Rangel appointed as Manager/Coach..

No fan of MW hal, and at Derby Mount and Tomori were half of his team. I doubt we'd get loans in of that calibre.

I wouldn't grumble at him coming in but, to your point about Chelsea being under a transfer embargo, with our (lack of) budget we may as well be in one too right? Not sure he'd be a good fit with a shoestring budget.

yeah good point, but the coaching staff we've got haven't exactly been covering themselves with glory.
I can tell you one thing. Those piss poor corners and set pieces would end immediately.

First time I have heard Abramovich comment on a manager getting the bullet makes me think he has copped a very nice settlement. Doubt he will rush back into management anytime soon.

Your guy will end up in prem - with or without you. No chance. Blew promotion last season and will do this. Wouldn't you say that was the players not him? They didn't cope with the occasion. He's kept them up there despite losing best players - contrast that with us. Granted Toney was due a step up, and we wouldn't pay 10m or whatever it was, but he puts out competitive teams and not afraid to change things.

Had 2 bites at it and both times came up short, Good managers get them up for it and get the job done. Easy to spend 10 million on a player when you draw in 30 million for Watkins and know Benrama is going as well for money. Play off final was there for the taking but he did not change or alter them throughout.

Apologies all.
I know I said I like Tim Minchin on another thread, but (and this is possibly worse)...
...I actually quite like old Frank.
Like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Man U, I think he deserved longer in the job - though clearly that's not the way of the Russian Mafia...
