Looked like a hammy pull last night. Any injury update? If we lose him the next few games we'll really need Amos, Dozzell and Field to step up. If Stef is out for a while, I think going to be difficult to get into those playoffs. He’s that crucial when on form. Guess, just got to hope he’s ok! Can’t blame cup game given he didn’t play.

Play ball and Amos as dms. Move chair in from the left to fill Steffens position

Looked like a pulled hamstring. I think he's been struggling with hamstrings for a while, hasn't he? Doubt it's a huge concern, but it does highlight the need to rotate and protect certain players. The sooner Amos and Field are back for regular selection, the better.

Suspended for Blackburn game Looked off the pace so far this season. Is he carrying an injury? Not sure mate. I think he's looked ok. Lots of really smart passing. I agree though, we haven't seen the best SJ quite yet.

The modern day midfielder has to be good without the ball , closing down , Jockeying , running back and helping the defence .

So play Georginho, then we’ll all complain about lack of creativity. I see your point but it’s balance. And don’t forget he’s playing alongside Ball. Let’s see what it’s like with Amos or Field.

That semi-final under the lights and then the final is what will mainly be remembered though. Agree there were still issues in the camp but to compare the two play-off campaigns, one has totally capitulated whilst the other "found a way" as the slogan at the time went. Yes obviously there were huge differences in budget with that squad, but the reasons for this season's demise can be laid at that door only in part. That team had real leaders on the pitch, this team has no real leaders on or off the pitch. Think you're probably right Bill. I'm done with our so called captain after that embarrassing end to his performance against Fulham. I mean what sort of a prick trudges off slowly to soak up applause when his team is losing the game? Prick!

Can we name a single game this season where Johansen has run the show? Not a good team performance but one where he dictated play
I genuinely can’t think of one game. Not one. He’s been awful.

Get shot of him. I had more impact on the game freezing my ass off in the stand having worn the wrong coat. I so wish Robinson had put him in the fucking stand in that clash at the end of the game.

Think our midfield is a big problem all scared to actually go forward which is the main point of the game
Our midfielders do not attack enough or get any balls through for the strikers
Name the last match that we threaded a ball through to one of the strikers

He's been carrying an injury for a while according to WLS - which has been another issue at the club with players dropping like flies.
Warbs likes a small squad which hasn't helped.

Well he’s got 2 years left and after his season, not sure he’ll be easy to sell. But let’s look at positives…..he’s 31 not 51 and he was brilliant on loan 12 months ago. Must be an injury issue. Proper rest, good pre-season and managed a bit better….maybe he’ll hit form from 1 year ago. We need him at that level that’s for certain.

Think our midfield is a big problem That's because he has accumulated a bunch of literally identical players. Johansen, Field, Ball, Hendrick, Dozzell all like for like. Only Thomas, Willock & Chair are players that try and make something happen. Hardly plays Thomas, Willock injured and Chair one good game every 6-7 leaves us VERY uninventive.

With regards to Johansen, I'd keep him.
Only because I know how good he can be and just hasn't done it this season. Very disappointing and expecting a massive improvement next season.

The fact that he's retired from international football we should use to our advantage. And partly why he did that was to extend his playing career. He could be great for us next season if he can sort his fitness out over the summer.

I think if they can get Stefan firing he’s one of our most influential players
Was way short last season but if they can bring out the player from loan he starts week in week out and think he could be difference between mediocre and great season

Has Stefan still got it in him? This is a new reality checkpoint for pretty much everyone at the club.

Stefan isn't ever going to be the type of box to box midfielder that cover loads of ground. I think he will benefit from having a proper pre-season and also having some midfielders alongside him capable of doing the leg work. I think a big part of the issue with Stefan last season was he was never 100% fit and we relied to heavily upon him cos we were devoid of any other creative midfielder up to the job.
In all honesty, this season will likely be defined by how much good business can be done in the next 6 or 7 weeks.
