Very sad.
I think he was once in the same team as Doudou and Shittu. I was only having that conversation with someone the other day and this was the player whose name evaded us.

I had a few reservations about his management career with us. But right now... RIP big fella.

Funny what time does. I don't remember him being that popular when he was here and I also remember the Oxford comment. Sad when anyone goes though.

RIP Jim Smith. From his time at QPR I remember that we had Mark Dennis in the team. He couldn`t have been easy to handle.. But again: RIP Jim Smith..

Does anyone eles on here remember what he did to Dave Bennett's bollocks from a free kick? Ha ha, I don't but I have a great story of him stripping bollock naked in a pub in the Walworth Road and dancing on the pool table...! Bennett was playing for Coventry and he nutmegged Mark who had words with him. I can't remember if he did it again or not bt at some point later QPR had a free kick near the touchline about halfway to the goal from the centre line. Bennett was jumping up and down in front of Mark in an attempt to put him off and Mark must have used the cadence of his jumping to strike the ball just as he was leaving the ground and hit him firmly in the bollocks, folding him in half and you could hear the gasp from the Loft. He had to come off as he was definitely injured.

It makes that one minutes reflection on mental health before the FA cup games that little more poignant.

Too much pressure to be a 'bloke' or 'be a man'? Tears are a sign of weakness or 'being a queer'. All stuff I have heard in the last ten years so people still aren't supportive of mental health issues, especially in males. It affects the rich and famous as much as the average Joe too so having loads of money is no key to avoiding the black dog. It's probably why I get so contentious when people start criticising our players as I would hate to think that one day someone would say something and the player goes home and tops himself. Look at what happened with Dave Clement, and he was just worried about a result of a test. I would rather we lost every game for the rest of season than have any of our players consider that ending it all was the solution. If it was a broken arm or leg we would have sympathy, why not for a broken mind?
