Little bit of everything in that lot but bloody good start last night
Would love be competitive against Brentford for a change as far to often recently it’s been a stroll for them. We done reasonably well at theirs so let’s pick it up in the return fixture

Just looking at the fixture list, after Saturdays game against Blackburn theres a week off until the Rotherham match. This is the beginning of an 11 game period until Reading near the end of March. This is the most important part of the season, this is going to be a massive indicator of where QPR are going to be when the seasons finished. The team have been on a very good run, the Derby blip aside ( and I believe there were reasons for that result and performance that have since been remedied), the form of the team over the last 5 league matches is top halve of the table form. In fact it’s only until you get to teams like Blackburn ( sitting 8th in the league at present) that you’re getting teams with recent form similar to QPR’s (Sheffield Wednesday aside). So it’s a big game against Blackburn on Saturday and a good performance and result is vital to keep the form continuing into this congested run of fixtures ahead. I think the squad will be better prepared for this run of games than earlier in the season, Field and Jordy will hopefully be fit and available (I believe Field already is), Johansen will be nicely bedded in midfield at the start of these games. The squad will be deeper and better balanced for this important period. I think in the Championship, because of the amount of games, momentum, form can be so important. Earlier in the season when results were not so good, it seems like the team can get into a bit of a rut, with the games coming thick and fast there’s not much time to work on the training ground and try to turn form around. And conversely winning becomes a habit, and games coming every 3 or 4 days are welcomed and looked forward too instead of dreaded. We really want a good result on Saturday to set us up for this run, that maybe a draw, Blackburn are no doubt a good team, obviously a victory and 3 pts would be perfect (I do think the team is capable of this). All of the teams above QPR until Blackburn have poor recent form, patchy at best, I think if we get into this block of games with the high morale and good team spirit that’s been around the squad recently, I think QPR could be sitting in a strong position, high up the table at the beginning of the last group of games.

Top 8 in good form
Middle 8 in patchy form
Bottom 8 in improving form, especially Sheff Wed and Derby.
We have a game in hand and in good form. Win that (against Wycombe) and we'll be in mid-table comfort..(and only 9 points off the play-offs! 😅)

Rotherham postponed, upset Brentford, pity we can't be there for John Terry's Bournemouth, lose to Preston and always beat Brum. 😁

Win our game in hand against lowly Wycombe and we go 11th. Just saying Flip side of that is we'd be in the bottom 5 if we'd lost last night, proving what a massive win this was...and how incredibly tight the entire division is. All 7 teams above us are in poor form. Real opportunity for us to push on this month.

Crazy to think if we win our 3 games in hand we'd be in 9th place and 4 points off the play-offs. Given our form, two of those games are very winnable (Wycombe and Rotherham) and the other one we have a decent fighting chance (Brentford at home). It's really all in our hands.
