So with Field injured and Amos’ fitness still to be tested week in week out we get the option of Georginho running around instead of watching a promising young player. Seems to me we’ve loaned out the wrong one if we are overloaded with midfield players. Warbs clearly sees something in Georginho that we don't...

Got a good mate who supports Cov who also reckons there is a very decent player in there. Not convinced myself.

Ok, respect opinions expressed about Bettache going out but one final question - couldn’t the club have done better for the lad than Oldham? What will it do for his confidence at the bottom end of League 2?

With the greatest respect think club know how to handle these emerging players.
They got it right Eze sending him Wycombe, chair Stevenage and Dieng Hampton & Richmond and Dundee. All players have come back better and battle ready
Bettache has looked good in glimpses but is clearly not ready for where we want to be at this moment. Example looked great 45mins orient then was invisible second half when then put it on us
He should have gone out last season on loan then he might have been ready this season but people said he had stay and he ended up getting 74mins in a season off the bench. Is that looking after him? is another season sat on bench going make him Chair or Eze next season when we probably offload one of Chair or Willock?
Trust the club loan is what he needs then we will find out if he’s worth keeping or not

Would add he already got more minutes in one game on loan then he did in a whole season with us last year and was there highest rated player

Why the fook send him to Oldham? A basket case of a club. Should bring him back.

So with Bettache averaging just 17 mins a game for Oldham so far, Kelman just 14 mins in total, are we to assume they’re crap or we’ve sent them to the wrong clubs? Masterson has at least had a few games but this is far from what I’d call getting ‘game time with big boys’.

According to www.transfermarkt.co.uk Bettache has played 9 times and a total of 543 minutes for Oldham & Kelman has played 8 times totaling 536 minutes for Gillingham.

I suspect the stats you are looking at there are their minutes for QPR prior to them both going out on loan mate. Both are playing regularly.
A more valid argument would be if these 2 are good enough for QPR, why have they only mustered an assist each and no goals so far in their loan spells. Less of a worry for Bettache given he's more of a holding midfielder but you'd expect Kelman to be doing much more in terms of goals and assists. I wonder if he'll ever recreate the form he was showing at Southend the season before we signed him.

I know we were low on strikers but even then, he didn't really get a look in. Trying to remember the situation back then, I think we only had 1 fit striker? Would have been better learning first team football, at a club where he feels confident and then have him back from pre season.

Still don’t get why people wet themselves over Kelman. Still time for him come good but the excitement and demand for him to play was odd. All based on you tube video

I just find you tube videos are very easy to manipulate to show best or bad bits
I never saw goal but same time I would expect most pros to be able to hit target from half way line if keeper is out goal. Like Stuart wardley one good debut season never made him good player but based on stats his first season would suggest he was
I think kelman could be a raw player but he’s not close to being ready for this level

I'd be interested to know the opinions of Oldham fans about Bettache. They are far and away the worst team in the EFL so far this season so just wondering if he's been putting shifts in, not bothering or is just plain shit. He's been handy when I've seen him play for us.
Edit...having just double checked, they're the SECOND worst team in the EFL, I stand corrected.

Most of what we're discussing in the SDM thread can be said about this guy too. Both the same age (22) and play similar positions. But another player who needs to decide what he wants. Stagnate at the club or go out on loan. What we DO know is, like SDM, he has been largely ignored by our managers for whatever reason...

Yes really liked him when he looked like breaking thru a couple of years ago but for whatever reason seems to have gone backwards. Never even mentioned now by manager or fans alike

Ball and George Thomas are players he should have got the chance to compete with if given a real chance.

Saw him vs Hampton pre season. Looked creative, combative and natural on the ball.
Him and sdm were a cut above everyone else.

Oh well. Couldn't get in the Oldham first XI, so not a chance is he gonna progress here. Best decision for all parties imo. Good luck to him.

Shame felt there were glimpses of something but never sustained it.
Hopefully this is sign of the future of us not waisting time and getting people off books who won’t make it.
