Never thought for a second that warbs could turn around the form we were on. I felt(along with plenty of others) that he was out of his depth with the squad we had after losing the players we did last season but....he has proved me wrong and i have to hold my hands up. We seem to have a great team spirit and they want to play for the shirt. If we can hold onto the recend additions from the last window and some of the others as well as adding a little bit more quality i geniunely feel that we can make a right go of this division next season. Fair play to all involved for the turn around and making match days a bit more bareable again. Hope everyone is well during these shit times and....come on u rsss

Respect Bush
He’s actually a pretty good manager. He’s got flaws he’s not perfect but we could have a lot worse and we have

Me too. I wanted him gone but he’s totally turned it round. He’s not perfect by any stretch but we could do a lot worse. Very happy to be proven wrong

i wanted him gone too, heck, i was slagging him off during our poor run but hes turned it around massively and has done a great job recently. still has some things to get right like his game management skills and needs to know when to change things up at the right times but the formation change has worked wonders for us.

Agree complete turn around and im happy for him
Crunch will be if we can hire Field / Johanson / Austin
Down to the Board now to show their intent
If all go then back to square one again Alan does have a point

I agree that short-term fixes like Wells and Hugill loans don't move the club forward as you're always back to square 1 when they expire.
If the same happens with Field / Johansen / Austin / de Wijs, it's just history repeating itself, and you'll get more of the same type of loans in the January 2022 window to save that season too.
Hal made an interesting point yesterday about the unfair aspects of FFP now being legally challenged.

It’s just a matter of signing Austin and Johansen.

Amos and Caroll to come back as well we shouldn't forget.

It’s just a matter of signing Austin and Johansen. i can see us getting all 4 tbh. austin is loving life here and its a good, easy place for him to retire at. won't really be any pressure or stress for him and he loves the club and vice versa. where else would he really want to go at his age? johanson would be an excellent addition as he still has a good 2-3 years avaliable. my dad, a fulham fan, thinks that we could probably get him for around 500k as fulham will need to have a bit of a clearout next season assuming that they stay up. sam field is still only 22 crazily enough but he has a lot of potential imo. looks like a great player at this level and one who i think will come back to bite west brom if we do sign him. i'm loving de wijs too, a few games ago i was thinking about how well leistner would fit in between dickie and barbet instead of cameron. we defend well with cameron but none of our 3 CBs are "tough" if you get me but de wijs is. he's that big ugly no nonsense CB who can step in and do the dirty work thats sometimes needed. if he keeps up his current form then we need to bring him in for sure. if we do bring those players in and a new LB then i think we'll have a great season next year.

Chaz and Johnny dont het me wrong be great ft additions but not a long term solution due to age.

Chaz and Johnny dont het me wrong be great ft additions but not a long term solution due to age. long term no way but you need experience in any team. chaz can still score 15-20 goals a season easily assuming he stays fit, plus he has that winning mentality. stefan is the captain of norway too so a clear leader on and off the pitch

I'm in the same boat, and I'm very happy that he's turned it round with some astute signings in January. I wanted him gone but not now. That'll teach me to be a bit more patient 👍

I`m in. But I salute the entire club not only Warburton. Of course a lot of credit has to go to him as he is our Headmaster obviously!
On a sidenote: Stefan Magnus Johansen has retired from the Norwegian national team today.

Warburton's a decent, honest manager doing the best with the hand he's been dealt - ie, no money and having to further reduce the wage bill.
If he were to go, I doubt we'd be able to attract anyone better - would be interesting to hear from those that want him gone who they'd like to see in his place?
I think he's a good fit for the club.

would be interesting to hear from those that want him gone who they'd like to see in his place? Over the period between Harry and MW many excellent managers have been available as realistic targets and many of them were flagged up on here or elsewhere at the time. I completely get that MW is shopping in poundstretcher and that many poor recruitment decisions were made by the DoF and the board before his time. My problem with him has always been his slowness to correct things which were obviously not working. I'm delighted that many of those points have now been addressed. I think it would be a mistake to get carried away - this isn't the greatest championship division anyones ever seen, and there are some underlying club issues. However, there has been a massive improvement vs last years form and for that we can all be grateful. Amen.

It'd be funny if there weren't actually dickheads coming out of the woodwork saying exactly that.
