START the season with the right personnel (like we have now) and you end up in the promotion places.

To be fair, if Tom Carroll and 1 of Lyndon Dykes or Mac Bonne had worked out, we'd have had the right personnel. Easy to argue we were short with the benefit of hindsight. Don't think 2 players as good as Johansen and Charlie were available to us in the close season. |

Tarbs, when I say "I wonder if the club will learn from this", the point I'm making is you let players of the calibre of Wells and Hudgell leave and you simply go back to step one. Then the following January you end up having to recruit Austin and Johansen (for e.g.) to rescue the season, and it's Groundhog Day yet again. STARTING the season with the right personnel really need not be outside the club's capabilities. |
