From the Owls Talk:"Thing is. QPR have wilock. Dykes. Austin. A solid defence and a solid keeper. Sprinkles of quality. We have very, very little quality. Our bench is woeful".

We are 11th in the league table. Good chance that this is our best season since being relegated. What a remarkable job Warburton has done. 60 points is our best since we got relegated and that was our first season. So, 5 points from 6 games. Not only that Warbs has recorded 2nd and 3rd (this one still going) best points tally since we got relegated. Given he’s had the least money, I think that’s very impressive. I wanted him sacked at end of 2020 😳

Looks like it paid off.

DYKEs! My favourite player! I never had any doubts about him. #legend you were right to stand by him hits, we all jumped on you for it and even called for your head but you stuck with him through and through think we had a solid game today, lucky at times and a bit average for some periods but i can't critisize much as we won comfortably. some good clinical goals, dykes was our MOTM. great result overall but my god we've gotta be the weirdest team in the championship lol. torn apart one game, amazing the next.

I wanted warbs gone but I’m absolutely delighted to be eating some Humble pie. What an outstanding job on a shoestring budget and having all those goals ripped out the side. And had to manage the Cunt that is bos. Take a bow sir, onwards and upwards. Urssss

Pleased for Dykes after a real bad period but he has benefited from Charlie coming in and looks like a player who may come good long term. Fair play to MW for turning things around and to the club for getting the recruitment right in January and more importantly getting rid of that rat Samuel.

If the players have that attitude and think they just have to turn up to get three points, we’ll be in trouble... Rotherham had a decent spell not so long ago and are fighting for their lives.

I know we were flat against Forest but we're a better team than Rotherham. I think Warbs will have us motivated for it to finish as high as possible, and the players do seem up for it.

Really good to see this win, nice that the big lad helped himself to a couple, confidence is a preference as someone once said....
The thing that slightly concerns me is our defending, at least three times they had men in the box who just weren't picked up. If we defend like that we're not going to away with it on a regular basis. Not quite sure what's changed there, but for my money we aren't looking quite as solid as we were.
MW goes on about looking after the ball like a broken record, it really doesn't matter what you do with the ball if you keep giving them opportunities. That apart, good result.

Personally think Kakay good option at CB, but looking confused and poor decisions at times. Better to keep him away from our goal IMO Not sure what it was, but something was definitely wrong at the back end for large chunks of the afternoon.

Not like you to find negatives in a good win mate! 😂 I do agree to some extent though. We look a little bit fragile at the back when Cameron isn't one of the 3. Dickie, De Wijs and Barbet are all decent centre halves at this level, but one of them needs to adopt the role of organiser/general back there.

Not a massive selection to choose from but we’ve won every game when de wijs, barbet and dickie have started and not gone off injured.

Difficult to say. not for me think we underachieved that season given the squad. Play off was great experience but in all honesty that squad should have gone up automatically The Redknapp we got was a tired worn out manager at the end of his career at a club he thought he was bigger then.

Barbet and Dickie never get subbed and have been virtual ever-presents. de Wijs I think has been critical and we'll have a pretty solid back line once he's fully fit.
