Literally tinpot ground not fit for 19th century needs. Hence restrictions on income expenditure. Decline in a already small fan base. There bigger clubs in worse situation than us which is amazing really. But club stuck as it is will eventually probably drop and stay there.

Lose when we should win and win when we should lose, always been the same but why. it just seems to be something we do but why. Most followers over the years know this to be honest but it never changes but why

Most followers over the years know this to be honest but it never changes but why Because traditionally we're a small club that enjoys punching above it's weight. As the perennial underdog it's how we've always thrived, I suppose. Welcome back Bill 🍺

I understand punching above our weight, its the down tools mentality that frustrates me.
I think the club as a whole has to change this mentality and think bigger better and try to introduce a new mindset and get away from this small club syndrome.
We have loads of chances over the years but never really grasped the nettle, except maybe late 80s early 90s but did not kick on, sad really.
Thanks Stanley just needed a break.

It's what me and Hal were discussing at the start of this thread. Mid 70's too under Jago then Sexton in those 'Golden years whop-whop-whop'.

No leadership at the back when De Vijs went off, that`s one of the reasons why we lost. No really winning mentality in the side is another one. IMO, that is. Boro next. Onwards and upwards. 100% Shania. When 1 of Cameron or de Wijs aren't playing, we are all over the gaff at the back. Bit surprised that Dickie hasn't stepped up and made the role of leader/organiser of the defence his own. Maybe he just isn't that sort of character. He made a horrible mess of trying to play the offside trap for their 2nd last night! Spot on, and I feel Dickie still is a bit fresh at this level. Still learning his trade, but he actually reminds me a bit of Brede Hangeland which bodes well for the future.

Mid 70's too under Jago then Sexton in those 'Golden years whop-whop-whop'. I’ve touched on this a few times as I can’t see QPR as a worthwhile business so, for all their shortcomings, I’m glad the owners are still here. With gates of 17k and a club shop which can’t turnover that much the bulk of our income can only be TV, prize money and the (very) occasional Eze. There were comments about Rotherham’s place the other night, a very simple stadium but it’s 10 years since they moved in and I remember from the in-laws local papers there was concern it was costing £20m. 20? That’s dirt cheap. So even if our owners stump up what 40? 50? and built it at Heston that’s another huge investment with no obvious return unless we get back to the yo-yo money every few years. I’d love to know their thinking.

Available soon from the club shop - Leighsy’s book of one liners , wit and repartee. Signing to be arranged although he’d probably have another job on and wouldn’t turn up 😂

Given Derby’s loss tonight it make our loss a bit easier to take. Mutton chops in league one. Wankers 😂😂
