Massive game could pull eight points clear if we win of relegation zone
Our form is third best in league over last 5 games
Would take a point though if offered if I'm honest away
They lost tonight lets hope there knackered Saturday

Derby and Birmingham in bottom 3 now, as Sheff Wed pull clear. Would have rather Rotherham drew tonight as it pushed Cardiff 4 pts clear of us. The Miller's form is mixed. I think we're well capable of beating them, especially given our strong away form.

I'd take a draw. I think it's very important to not lose these games.

Might be a little less stressful to take the view that currently, there are 7 teams with fewer points than us with some having played more games. All this, whilst we were going through a period of blooding a new team with some very inexperienced players, who appear now to have turned a corner and are showing signs of being more of what we were hoping for, as opposed to our worst nightmare.
We are looking much better in defence. We are taking a few more of our chances now.
What on earth are the crap below us showing, to make us think they are capable of turning things around and overtaking us?

Looking at our recent run of results its very apparent that the team have been performing significantly better with longer preparation times in between games.
Interesting to think that our run of good form coincided with a change of formation and an actual points target being set by Marbs who wanted that amount to be kept secret.

I can't bring myself to say "another Saturday ruined" because of our excellent run and our away form. Bugger it!
Another Saturday ruined!

Not sure about the points target and why that would make any difference. I think the new signings have given a boost but the biggest difference is the defence appears more solid as it is more settled and the players are getting used to each other. What I have witnessed in terms of performances in the last few games is a more positive mindset as well. To be honest, as I have said before, we were competing in most matches before but not taking our chances and then conceding silly goals. Exactly the same happened at Watford. We were excellent but then fell behind to a stupid penalty. However, we kept playing positively and were rewarded for once.

the biggest difference is the defence appears more solid Having the experience of Wallace and Cameron there is really showing. Barbet and Dickie are forming a good understanding. Even Kane is benefitting from it. And all 5 playing with more confidence knowing they now have a better GK behind them.

I would guess that by setting that target whilst not putting points on the board half way through the season it may result in a financial bonus being made available to all the players if the target is met. These types of financial inducements are widely known amongst new Managers coming in to save clubs from relegation. I posted this type of comment when Charlie arrived as I thought he may be on this type of bonus too. If it was not important to gaining some much needed points ask yourself why Marbs would feel he should mention the target in his pre match interview ?

We have made at least three goal line savings and same amount of unbelievable last second blocks. Could have easily lost all these games. Therefore don't think our defence is better until we stop opponent creating clear chances.

32 conceded compared to 48 this time last season would suggest otherwise Timmy. Agreed we could have lost them all though and the same applies the other way for a lot of games earlier in the season.

That just shows the defence and GK'ing have improved. We'd never have won the last 4 out of 5 games if it was just down to luck. Watching all those games it's clear as day there has been an improvement. It's very rare to completely prevent opponents creating clear chances. Luck always plays a part but you create your own luck too.

Also look at the ones that got away. Taking into account the stupid penalties and own goals conceded, we have missed so many chances, some of them sitters, that could have boosted us. It can be a bit swings and roundabouts, on this, but we could also be a few points better off as well.

If we win this one, I think we can say goodbye to the relegation sone. Therefore, I hope the players share this mindset before kick-off. On a sidenote: I wish we would have continued our relationship with Steve Black on a part time basis. I think it paid dividend under Harry R. the season were promoted.

BOS miss in the last minute at Norwich and a few good chances missed before Wycombe equalised late on.

Just over 24hrs to wait to see if Wycombes prediction of game being called off comes true. If he’s right he becomes the uri geller of the board with his special powers

That'll stop any momentum we had going into the Brentford game on Wednesday. We get a rest though I guess.

Stupid useless northern fuckers. In this day and age? I was looking forward to the game. Play it at Loftus Road if they're not professional or competent enough to stage the game. Wankers.

how on earth can a championship club have a frozen pitch?
chorley had groundsmen out all night keeping their pitch warm to prevent frost
