"Steve McClaren - it wasn't his fault. The fault is with the club. The fault is with the people in charge of the club. That's the biggest problem. Fulham have gone and done what Queens Park Rangers have done - not as severe as what QPR have done but QPR went out and spent too much money trying to bring too many big names into a club like Rangers and it all fell apart. They haven't recovered from it. There's been too much talking and not enough action, that's the problem. There's not enough structure in what they did when they got promoted. They had two bites of the cherry and they blew both of them." Read more: www.football.london/queens-park-rangers-fc/qpr-news-steve-mcclaren-sacking-16085124

It must have something to do with tactics and team selections also.

Think Parker is having a pop at the board for them not learning anything from our 1st stab at the premier league and the lack of direction that the board have shown thus far.

To be honest though , weve not been allowed to spend , we had a manager who seemed to be a decent coach and after a terrible start ,pulled it around in the Autumn , then we went on a collosal losing run ! Everyone is entitled to argue that its all the chairmans fault ,and before this season, i`d agree . But what more could Fernandes / Batia do this season ? Our hands have been tied ,Mclaren didnt work out , weve now got rid So the meltdown against the board IS justified inmo over the last 7 seasons ,but not over this season I like Paul Parker ,but he`s speaking up ,too late

Our hands have been tied ,Mclaren didnt work out , weve now got rid So the meltdown against the board IS justified inmo over the last 7 seasons ,but not over this season I like Paul Parker ,but he`s speaking up ,too late I think what he's saying is that the structure at the club is still poor, and from what I've seen and heard I totally agree with him. Our transfer policy last summer was appalling. All our eggs in 1 basket with a couple of loan signings, and went into the season with insufficient cover in many positions. Staggering considering we knew we couldn't sign anyone in January. People will point towards there being no money. Well if that's the case why weren't we looking at decent up and coming players from League 1 and League 2, instead of expensive loans from the Prem? The truth is that McClaren doesn't know any players at this level and Les came up short in his role as DoF in having sufficient pipeline of players we could afford. With hindsight you also have to heavily criticise the decision to loan as many out in January as we have. Perhaps it will pay dividends next season, but the reality at the moment is we have removed all competition for places, virtually every player in the squad has stopped performing and we've won only 1 game since we loaned them all out. I'll add that I'm not sure if it was McClaren or Les that decided to loan them out, or whether FFP played a part in the decision. But surely Les and Mac between them should have realised that further depleting an already weak squad to that extent was a bad idea. We are a badly run club I'm afraid to say. And we will remain that way as long as Tony Fernandes is pulling the strings, the guy is clueless. I had high hope's when Bhatia was announced as the new chairman, but it's clear now that was just smoke an mirrors too.

If you remove all competition, people don't tend to work as hard!

You`re right loaning the young players out hasn`t worked ( for this season at least ) and hindsite is a good thing , but reading the original post ,i `m not sure that it was that ,that PP was alluding to .

Maybe Parker wasn't alluding to that particular point mate. But the point he was making is certainly that we are a poorly run club at boardroom level.

It looks to me he`s just making similarities from us in the past blowing money ( some thing we havn`t done for a while now ) on the wrong players and still getting relegated , and what Fulham have done .
